  • this is very pretty it reminds me of the one I used to play it got too old so we had to get rid of it I think mine was a different model though

  • Immortal, invisible, God only wise,

    In light inaccessible hid from our eyes,

    Most blessèd, most glorious, the Ancient of Days,

    Almighty, victorious, Thy great Name we praise.

    .

    To all, life Thou givest, to both great and small;

    In all life Thou livest, the true life of all;

    We blossom and flourish as leaves on the tree,

    And wither and perish—but naught changeth Thee.

    .

  • I'm no musician, and cannot comment as such, but I have found no more beautiful a rendition of this hymn on Youtube than yours. Thank you, and God bless you!

  • Thank-you for your kind remarks its for people like you that gives me cause to continue sharing.

  • That came later, when its distinctive sound was found to work well for rock music, as well as jazz. The Hammond cannot play classical organ literature very well, although it can play Bach's chorales reasonably well. The "big" organ works would not work on the Hammond. If it needs 3 or more manuals, forget it, as most Hammonds have only 2 manuals, and many lack the bottom 17 notes of the normal 5-octave compass on the upper manual, the bottom 5 notes and top octave on the lower.

  • Oh I agree I hate trying to play bach with only a 13 note pedal board on a hammond.

  • The Hammond was invented as a compact, low-cost substitute for a pipe organ. The results were quite satisfactory for hymns. Its limitations for other organ repertoire were later discovered.

  • Even so, the Hammond is also used in nearly every rock song.

  • Are you playing on this for the church service ?Do you play on a pipe organ for the mass ?

    Great song indeed !

  • No, I was just fooling around with the Hammond I usually play on a more complex Instrument.

  • Ok !

    Me i'm playing on a casavant pipe organ with 2 keyboards and 35 stops.

  • can i get the sheet music of this hymn to play on piano anywhere?

    Thanks

  • If you send me your Email I will forward the music to you!
