@theRewindguy1 not quite how physics work. As speed increases linearly, drag goes up exponentially, so for 111mph although the throttle stick may have been half, the work of the motors were a lot less. At WOT, the power would be much much higher than half and the speed would not follow the torque curve.
@TheNightmare217 I don't have a plane yet.. Getting some simulator time in first then will build one from scratch probably. Many of the plans seem pretty easy.
Hi great video i'd like to startmaking rc foam airplanes just like you ! The problem is im 14 and live in ireland and have no clue how to get any of the stuff to make anything ! Please reply! :)
Sir I make RC fomies just like you. I started 5 years ago and I’m very good at what I do and am going to college to get my masters in aeronautical engineering. So when I say that you have the fastest and most controllable "build from foam" aircraft on U-Tube know that you are being told that by someone who is marveling at how you turned sheet foam from lows into a 222mph cruse missile. Truly a feat of engineering.
WOW.. great video , when are you going to make more videos on making inexpensive aircrafts , i love the work and detail you give in your videos in how to build one
@THExxxTINMAN cant wait to see what your going to make next ! i was trying to build one out of cardboard box , long story short , it don't work, i seen your video and now i can try new inexpensive experiment , i would have never found what you recommended on my own, and for that price ! you got my subscription :)
@TheRcfighterpilot They would pull too many amps and fry the esc or batteries. You have to watt test different size props to see which ones stay within your parameters and the 4.1 x 4.1 is the only prop that keeps me under 160 amps.
what is that shit sound BoBobeeeee going by

cool plane, although I find it a bit amusing that all the low mph readings are "inaccurate" but 222mph is trusted as gospel. ;)

awsome video...i want one...round abouts, how much does it cost for the dual motor ME163?

Sounded like you had some tiny edf fans in that thing.

it was kind of a given when it said half-throttle 111, of course the full throttle is gonna be 222

if you put your finger to the prop will it chop it of
TheNightmare217 1 month ago
@TheNightmare217 Depending on the motor I am sure it will, if it doesn't it will at least mess ya up pretty bad.

@usarmyfl1 yea I know but some are very hard (thats wat she said) and cool

What motors did you have mounted in the front and rear of the plane. And any special props and what batteries?

Awww, I thought it would have a rocket engine like the real one :(

Proof that you don't need an RC jet to go 200+ mph

I would hit the throttle once on that thing and I would never see it again.

Crazy... What radar gun were you using? It wasn't an $80 Bushnell was it?

@MikeRome84 I usually do the builds when it's too cold to go out and fly. Not too far away now.

Cool little planes tinman. I can imagine the stress on a plane moving at them speeds. How long you been flying?
martyisnuts 1 year ago
@martyisnuts I started flying about 15 years ago, then I got out of it for about 8 years an returned to the hobby about two years ago.

Why not use 6x4s they will get you going faster

That happened to my eurofighter. I didn't have the motor mount secure enough and it came lose and sliced the plane in half mid air.... It was so cool
