@GreyMessenger theres a trick with the firestorm scroll which can create a second sword also works with another scroll.

What is this weapons damage in comparison to the Windshear? I have a very high one-hand level and I don't have this blade yet. My Windshear was 35 damage when I found it, but With my high one-hand level I don't know how to compaer the power. (Windshear does 104 damage now. :D)

i go up there and nothing hapens, im lvl 23... and when i walk next to the dragon word on the wall the music starts playing but it doesnt say ive learned it, its not even in the dark letters on shouts or anything -__-

@DBPboarding yea i pretty much kissed the damn thing but turns out its not just this quest thats glitched for me, my entire game has a really bad bug. i cannot activate anything or recieve any quest items or rewards... i wrote bethesda to fix it in the next patch, if anyone has a similar problem and they fixed it please reply to this

This isn't oblivion, weapons level up by your own perks in that tree. I have a legendary daderic war axe that does 178 damage and I'm level 40.

are the weapons stats based on the level you obtain them like in oblivion or is it obtained with the stats that'll remain the same unless you improve them by smithing?

@Lilracerjak Uhmm, my buddy got this sword recently (he's a higher level then me) and his sword is better then mine. It could because i got it at a lower level or it could be because I'm a mage.

@CODBOcommentary its a deadric artifact, they are NOT level'd. they are only affected by perks and skill lvl

I did this quest and after beating the guy and grabbing the sword she just dropped me from the sky and killed me. Happens every time.

@mrose231 if you're on PC open the console (by pressing ` (the button next to 1)) then type in TGM (toggle god mode) and you won't take fall damage. I got the same bug and it worked for me.

Mine's glitched out. The quest says I need a torture rack in the Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary at Dawnstar.

@DarkDragonDave Reload and try again. I have a feeling the first part of the quest where you need to get her beacon is random, so she might send you somewhere completely different to where i went in this video.

@CODBOcommentary It still sends me there. I picked up the quest and then got a bunch of other quests piled on top of me. I ended up forgetting about it and went through all of the Dark Brotherhood stuff. So I think it might be set in stone.

@DarkDragonDave Dawnstar is a town and has nothing to do with the Dawn Breaker sword. You must have your quests muddled up.

@CODBOcommentary No. I'm looking right at it. "The Break of Dawn" is the only active quest and it's locator is pointing me to the secret entrance of the Dark Brotherhood near Dawnstar. And when I go in there, it takes me to a torture rack.
