Hi, this stone is 8.5 mohs, which is harder than most other gemstones and harder than any normal household item. It is not as hard as a diamond, but that does not make it soft.

If the brilliance of a real diamond is 4.4, the brilliance of CZ is about 4.1, so it's very close to the real thing. The negative thing though is that CZ could chip easily definitely not as hard as the real thing.

yes, i think it should be darker, but that's maybe because of the light. it is beautiful anyway.

The color isn't dark enough, plus it needs a culet facet. ;p
