@NFLnintendoforlife the emeralds were shafted for this installment. Sonic storylines with the Chaos Emeralds all the time are kind of boring. Also I think Eggman said in Colors the Wisps are more powerful than the Chaos Emeralds so he didn't seek them out. Sonic probably didn't want to get owned as Super Sonic again.

Honestly, for the DS version, it seemed like they just took the main scripts and art from Sonic Rush and did some serious edits... Even the dash thing looks EXACTLY THE SAME.

I'm an old school sonic fan myself but that was ridiculous though I loved the final boss's design it was so beast but that announcer thing got on my nerve I was like "shut up already you tin can!"

But once I had finished the story, what did I have left? just the gameplay. After plaing unleashed then going back to 06 I saw how truly horrible the gameplay was. It was an unfinished game they released too soon. Colours, on the other hand, has finished gameplay and works smooth and I love it.
@SKILLETD It is the best Sonic 3D game in my opinion. While Sonic Adventure 2 still has the BEST story, this had the best gameplay. It just flows so nicely and It all works together. I finished the game without thinking once "Oh, they messed up the gameplay here". It was flawless. However, I do have 1 complaint. For the Wii version, you spend AGES getting all the chaos emeralds, but when you have Super Sonic you have 100% finished the game and there's nothing to do :( Needed a super-sonic boss
i honestly do defend all the other games sonic 06 and the rest all had a story and extra missions but this one i beat in 2 hours and i felt no desire to play it again at least not for a while i still play 06 and the others. The path sega is on is gonna have sonic end up just an arcade game on consols they wont even have anymore retail games sonic adventure was their best because it was still sonic with speed but it dident play like an arcade game i dont like blasting through stages like colors
@SKILLETD You honestly care about longevity over actual quality? The only reason Sonic 06 lasted so long was because it was tedious and glitchy. The original Sonic games had little plot and had levels that were beatable in under a minute. But in the end you felt accomplished beating them because the gameplay was genuinely engaging, and the bosses were just quirky enough to keep interest.
That's why Sega stepped back. Because stepping forward just led to another deathtrap they built themselves
i played sonic 06 and thought "Well there goes my childhood." i played sonic unleashed and thought "This is just as tedious as sonic 06". Then i got this game. I was hesitant to play it but i knew i had to try it. i put the game in expecting a cutscene and walking to the first level, but my eyes widened when level 1 started. i beat it and saw the level screen and I knew instantly that they have done it. They cut out all the bs that made 06/unleashed unplayable. Great game
After listening to this song 10 times, my opinon of it has changed. I'm starting to really love this song! It seems Sega is changing their ways with both games and music, which is a step in the right direction if you ask me.
the game was kinda short, but hey! truley a masterpeice. if they had chao to raise, id say it would be the best one they ever would make, but it ties with SA2B in my opinion :D

@SuperSonic1ify It's talk box, not auto-tune. the words were put into electronic instruments via computer and each note has a different word that's played everytime that same note is also played. No real human voices were used and edited in the vocals.
@SupremeDirt Isn't bad? The soundtrack is amazing. This is coming from someone who hated all Sonics past 3. Sonic Colours is now my favourite Sonic game aswell.

I think this is a beta theme song for the game but because it is not fast but good, Sega decided to use it as a credits theme .

I think I cried a little when I beat this game. It was so fun. The story was amazing, along with the gameplay. It feels good to have the good Sonic games back
Then this song came on, and omg, it's so good.

@Narutofreak2543 lol, i almost cried in the car when i heard this. i wasn't breaking point crying from the song, i missed Yacker too, lol.i wished there was bonus stuff after that, like a "what could've been" stage (a level that wasn't put in the game due to difficulty, and see if you would beat it.)
also, what RetroSonicFTW said, i'm not one for auto-tuners either, but this song is too awesome to hate for that.

And btw, SEGA probably made up the idea for the Talk Box, Not Cash Cash. And you can tell Cash Cash actually SANG in some parts. So you're wrong with no human voices being used.

If you listen close to the lyrics, you understand that this song is a song the wisps would sings, which makes the autotune perfect for it.

@SuperSonic1ify It's talk box, not auto-tune. the words were put into electronic instruments via computer and each note has a different word that's played everytime that same note is also played. No real human voices were used and edited in the vocals.

Wow, I was so surprised by Sonic Colours. It's such a great game, and the soundtrack isn't bad either.
