Me and my friend just finished an awesome castle. Its got 10 tnt cannons located at various points around castle, resettable mine fields, flaming arow shooters, piston crushing traps, lava traps, trapdoors, pressure plate activated accurate arrow shooters, secret passage ways, a self destruct button with a 5 number code, a huge safe with code, lava traps, mob traps, watchtowers, lava moat, drawbridge with 4 number code, iron doors, and... the whole thing is made out of bedrock.

IT TOOK FOREVER.

Ok, Im thinking in front of the castle you have some pistons and a gate were they both open at the same time. or pistons under the center line to star the battle but i do agree it would be beast to have a acctual battle there.

Take this, and throw in SDK gun mod... and planes mod... and vehicles mod. IMAGINE! Massive online battle between the castles, gunfire all over the warzone, bombers and fighters being shot down by castle's flak cannons, tanks charging ahead, only to be blown up by random grenade/rocket/bomb, maniacs with flamethrowers and molotov coctails (yes, SDK's mod does have these) unleashing chaos... I would even pay for a server that would run this epicness.

I think it would be cool if you had a proper battle on it with 2 teams, no here is an idea, while most of your team fights, like maybe 2-3 could mine under the battlefield untill you get to the enemy castle and pop out behind them ;) Although it would take ages, it would be funny :)

maybe there should be a simple sand trap like a tall thin tower of sand in front of the castle entrance with wool under it.may not look nice but its a good defense for main gates at least or if you dont like it how about a moat using the new trap door

I wouldn't give them 10 minutes to gather materials. More like 5 minutes. Make things a bit harder because then they would have to work a lot faster to get stuff and if enough people are playing the team could have a few "drifters" collecting materials while the rest of the teams fights.

I'd like you to know, if you get this, that my server is adopting something like this.

We are going without the cannons though, and adding more varied terrain.

The terrain will be almost equal, and each base will have an obsidian "shrine" to protect. There will be a diamond pick given to each base, but only one.
