  • Wow, "incerdible" upload, doofus.

  • @haydenwce27 WHY? even Queen NEvER sang it live.! Freddie Failed....!

  • @jimmywacked That kind of harmony is......extremely hard to produce in a live setting. Try it with your friends.

  • Great song. Dream Theater made it. La Brie made it! Petrucci... well. This isn't the right guitar to play that song, but that's simply perfect.

  • haha the drum guitar group are retrying to sing the bohemian rapesody

  • Wow, James Labrie made it...

  • @haydenwce27 they should have recorded this instead of tenement funster/flick of the wrist/Lilly of the valley

  • OHH WHEN THIS HAPPENED?

  • @Gerar2891 Check out their EP, "A Change of Seasons". This is part of The Big Medley

  • @Gerar2891 1995, I think (may be wrong)

  • neanche Petrucci riesce a fare il solo di BR come lo fa Sir Brian May xD

  • GRAND SÓLO ME EMOSIONO QUANDO OUÇO LEMBRO DE TUDO QUE

    JA VIVI ......

  • a rhapsody, by definition, does not have any type of repetitive song structure like your typical rock / pop song with the verse, bridge, chorus, etc. - it just flows from one musical idea to the next. While fretifreti1 is certainly entitled to his opinion, my guess is that it is certainly in the minority - I don't know anyone who knows the song and doesn't think it's a great song.

  • @FRETIFRETI1 Ok so this is why your wrong. Bohemian rhapsody was a fusion of opera and rock. Its written very complex, and instead of pursuing the standard verse, chorus, bridge structure, they chose to express one single continuous musical thought. It has great variation in tempo and great vocals and melody. Its a dang good song.

  • Brilliant!

  • Hell yeah A change of Seasons. :D

  • Woot! Big Medley!

  • WTF? Stop bashing LaBrie. This is a live version and he clearly sang it better.

  • alright, i love labrie, but i have to say.... he butchered this song.

  • @tj2214 Not at all. He did sound awesome here wheter you like it or not

  • @MaximumPayne12 whether*

  • poor Freddie Mercury in his tomb...listening Labrie singing...no one deserves

  • @charleshelber talks as if james is a bad singer.

  • Is this really dream theater??

  • @XXblacktoothgrinXX Yup, it's in the song "Big Medley" on the "Change Of Seasons" album :)

  • @XXblacktoothgrinXX yes it is ;)

  • Why you fight and complain about everything in YouTube? Just fucking enjoy the music and the videos, and if you don't like it, well as you can see, someone invented a fucking "Dislike" button, so just press it and don't comment... jesus..D:

  • Classical, Jazz, and Metal are probably the best genres of music today (in my humble one man opinion). Classical has orginization, Jazz has exuberant amounts of feeling and emotion, Metal has storytelling and perfection.

  • @EmperorMyhkail I couldn't agree more.

  • @EmperorMyhkail completely agree jazz metal classical with progressive rock and an inch of classic rock is all i need to live

  • @EmperorMyhkail I agree with you completely, but I also have to add a bit of world music. Just cause it's so different; it's awesome in a whole, almost alien, way. Look up Raquy and the Cavemen or Glen Velez and you'll see what I mean.

  • @EmperorMyhkail How about I combine the three with a little bit of Voltaire and Pink Floyd thrown in. Got any names for my new sub-genre. I like this video.

  • i love the solo, it's done with the petrucci's excellent vibratos which really makes it stand out

  • i know freddy would be proud..these guys are awesome!

  • what concert is?

  • @JOCC07

It's for the EP "A Change Of Seasons" that they recorded at Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club, London.

  • @RockTommino Yea i agree people can't really tell what Freddy would think, But Dream Theater doesn't suck just because you don't like them. and wtf is that -.- thing? they nly time i've seen that is when my 11 sister is texting. I hope your a girl then

  • @epicfailurewolfe and your mother is a whore then. They suck cause their music sucks

  • @RockTommino you honestly dont know what music is about then?

  • @Tedericoe AHAHAH yes i do. so shut the fuck up, and stop saying blasfemy. Yes i wrong, i should have said that ALL the metal sucks sorry. Rock IS the music, the real and pure one!

  • @RockTommino

seriously I would slap your monkey ass if I would see you

music is more than just rock and metal, I listen to everything from classic to reggae but I hate techno. Still, I dont judge anybody. Your lack of tolerance doesnt give you the right to say somebodys mother is a whore and nobody has the right to say a certain genre of music sucks. Also at a certain point you cant find any difference between rock and metal

So fuck you RockTomino, Freddie Mercury wouldnt be proud of YOU

  • @mashroom1993 awww sorry if i think they suck, YOU are the one who has no tolerance. I dont judge anybody, i just said that, in my opinion, rock is the best music, is the music cause is the best. In my opinion you faggot -.-

  • @RockTommino me no tolerance? You are the one who call a entire style of music lame not me biatch

  • @mashroom1993 it's just my opinion, if metal make me throw up is not my fault !!

  • @RockTommino okay peace, I think we workes this one out

  • @RockTommino wrong. what you said was all metal sucks and rock is best. you have no right to superimpose your opinions like that. and faggot? really? just keep calling people names... see where that gets you in life. seems to me the other guy is filled with the tolerace and intelligence and here you are writing a couple sentences talking shit about peoples moms. way to go buddy.

  • 480p for the not so fail. I was going to comment on how absolute crap it sounded. But, then I saw that it was 360p still. Why doesn't it default to the highest resolution?

Decent cover. It's part of the Big Medley off of A Change Of Seasons for those who don't know.

  • They should cover the whole song some time. LaBrie's voice would be perfect for it (as proven by how awesome their cover of Tenement Funster/Flick of the Wrist/Lily of the Valley was).

  • I find it amusing how no one likes LaBrie, but he's playing the role of the pivotal member of Queen.

  • @Southernmetalhippie Uhm ... irrelevant much? :P

  • @devilinthebox Amusing stuff is often irrelevant.

  • Im not trying to diss on DT, they are amazing especially Mike, but I dont really like the singer that much. Idk

  • @Pzonian No one likes LaBrie! XD

  • @AdiMercury okay i feel better cuz im not the only one. lol

  • @Pzonian Ah ah no you're not! But I appreciate that LaBire (and Mike of course) are huge Queen fans ;) )

  • @AdiMercury I DO like him and his voice!

  • how is this an insult?! poser fanboy -.-

  • Esta música está no album "A Change of Seasons", é a musica "The Big Madley" que é constituida pelas músicas seguintes...

The Big Medley (10:34) (Contém partes de In the Flesh? dos Pink Floyd, Carry On My Wayward Son dos Kansas, Bohemian Rhapsody dos Queen, Lovin', Touchin', Squeezin' dos Journey, "Cruise Control" dos Dixie Dregs e "Turn It On Again" dos Genesis)

    É um arranjo espectacular!

  • This is with Derrick Sherinian instead of Jordan Ruddess

  • onde vc achou essa musica ? xDDD

  • they should do a cover of the whole song.

  • cool big fan of queen and dream theater. ROCK ON! where can i find the full song?

  • @aaronsix6

they didn't do a cover of the whole song,

    it's just this part.

  • Jordan Rudess looks like the main terrorist in COD 4

  • but with 2 arms

  • holy shit thats funny!

  • I'm thinking of Iron Man XD

  • No!

  • hey nice cover from queen cant you post another video i like the version of dream theater rocks

  • ohhh FUCK!!!! WHERE DO I GET THE MP3!!??!?

  • This is the five truck of A CHANGE OF SEASON.

If you buy the albun (and NOT DOWNLOAD by p2p) you can listen the song (and other cover.)

  • The best cover of one of the most impessive songs in history, well done DT, well done..

  • It's interesting. I'd prefer the original but as long as these guys had a good time performing it they played it well enough that I'd have a good time watching it

  • wow i haven't heard queen in a long time but i'm sure that sounded just like the original.

    great cover :D

  • dream theater = Overestimated ... not THAT godlike good, good musicians though...but hella boring music, and as ive just read below, dont get fooled because i'm not a "100% listener of complex mature music" this aint that good, its decent, but,,,its true that it has a steril feeling to listen.

  • Freddie Mercury would be proud

  • @DarkWolfStudio Ah ah probably, despite of LaBrie's voice! XD

  • Como on men

    Any band can cover Queen

    Even this one

  • i think what sucks is your capability as a music evaluator

  • faggot

  • do you mean blasphemy? and Queen is a good band, but this cover is great, the vocals are almost identical.

  • .... lol, says the man who writes "blasfemy" and covers my chemical romance songs. I dont see where you get nerds from either... go cry in a corner and complain about how guitarists are better than you, and how you have more "feeling" it'll help you sleep at night

  • I enjoy to play easy things, "hardest" solos has no feeling, has no soul. Is all about "technique", but there is no feeling, and that is a shit. listen de queen solo and then listen the dream thear solo of that song... c'mon you virgin....

  • haha, "virgin" as an insult. that's original...

"feeling"? there are plenty of technical songs that have feeling as well. some musicians are just that good, but it seems you aren't.

  • get a life nerd

queen = best band in the world

dream theater = "technique" "progressive" shit

  • Comment removed

  • if you think that you're intelligent because you listen that.... you'll die young man xD

  • nah, queen aren't faggots. dream theater have def. surpaassed them, but taht doesnt make queen faggots.

@stevel: if u actually listened dt's other albums like awake and i&w, ull see how dt kicks ur ass in technique and feeling.

  • Queen isn't bad, but I was referring to the fact that the lead singer is gay

  • you did so using a derrogitory term...

then you proceed to call whoever you were replying to using the same term...

    how ignorant...

  • Yeah, well welcome to the internet, you stupid asshole. Also you make no fucking sense, because the lead singer Freddy Mercury is a homosexual. He died of aids. Get your fucking facts straight.

  • Comment removed

  • you're a faggot

  • Comment removed

  • if you think you've won anything you must be a complete fucking retard. the only thing I see you saying on your part of the "argument" is how offensive I am being, and I said welcome to the internet, so I will say it again. welcome to the internet, enjoy your stay, you faggot.

  • Comment removed

  • you just don't get it.

  • you bore me.

  • don't you mean i BIZARRO BORE you????

  • umm... sure?

  • WRONG

  • how so?

  • if you are bound with duct tape, how do you type?

  • my hands are free I guess, I never really thought about it

  • the part where you said that "if you think you've won..." means.. you were actually having a contest on your own.. and this urge of winning engulfs..

  • When was this recorded??

  • It's in the song on A Change of Seasons, The Big Medley.

  • Oh my god! LaBrie is singing so awesome here! Love JR's organ.

  • actually, this was when they had Derick Sherrinian as a keyboardist. (I can't spell his name.)

  • Could've known it! Nobody could make an organ sound as delicious as Derek does.

Is this a part of The Big Medley?

  • Yep, and I know a lot of people will disagree with this, and say all sorts of things about my taste, but I prefer Rudess' style. He throws in all those musical jokes, and 'baroque breaks'' and can improvise well, and I prefer the songs that he contributed part of the writing to, too.

  • I'm of the opposite mind: all of Jordan's Simpsons quotes, "circus music", ragtime breaks and generally weak lead sounds take me out of the moment musically.

It still kills me that *after* they fired Derek DT decided to do ToT, their "metal album" that Derek's much heavier lead and B3 patches would have absolutely killed on.

  • Well, I will admit that the jokes take some of the 'seriousness' out of the music, but if you look at the at the album the Sherinian helped write, it was not heavy at all, it was as close as dream theater is ever going to get to that simplified genre that is referred to as 'pop', and I like the songs that have been written with Rudess on keys the most. (excluding metropolis and a change of seasons, of course)

  • yeah, but idk how much of that was derek, and how much of that was the producers wanting DT to get more "radio play"

although in a lot of DVD commentary they do mention that derek wasn't quite as heavy as the rest of the band....

  • uhuh :)

  • JP's sound actually sounds just like Brian's

  • nobody else could pull this off .amazing
