I'm a recovery liberal. I understand the mindset. It is sort of a naive viewpoint and feeling of intellectual superiority that this women displays. These people have an inner need to find something wrong with government, and they like to have a cause to fight. It kind of makes them feel important. The problem, though, is this type of mentality is going to get a lot of Americans killed.
Closing Gitmo: Pure window dressing. People are all excited about closing a concentration camp while nothing has been decided about the prisoners. So they get relocated. Nothing has fundamentally changed.
I just seen on the news that the terrorist are already releasing video's about their release. You people that agree to their release will change your mind soon when we get attack again. BTW I don't wish for Obama to fail I just don't agree with letting murderers go,right back to their old jobs.

gr9dig, it's not terrorists' rights I'm worried about. check out the original patriot act--how come the war on terror (and terrorists) curtailed my rights? When the president of the united states and his cronies decide to treat terrortists anyway they see fit, and in doing so decide which of my rights I should be able to keep, then he's a dictator--which is only a nice name for a legal terrorist. If you're so hot to live under a dictatorship, move to Iran...but you'd be the minority there... ;)
just because he says he's going to shut it down dosent mean anything, there are still a lot of other prisons he could send them to. he's not going to free them, the us dosent want the actually bad ones goin back to iraq and fighting, and they dont want the innocent ones going off and telling the world what happened to them and how they were abused and mistreated.
same thing w/ waterboarding, it will just go from the current method of interrogation to some other method
