Yeah I remember reading how way back when they made canoes they went back to their straw huts and brought out a chainsaw just to make a boat. If they're using modern tools why not use them on every part of making the canoe? I'm sure it is acceptable by traditional standards because they are using a FREAKING CHAINSAW!!! If you're going to make a TRADITIONAL canoe, use the same tools that were used BEFORE chainsaws were invented. I hate when people say one thing then do another.
