It only uses four fingers on each hand. A total of eight 4x2 = 8. Pinkie fingers only are used to silence musical notes (do not make sounds unnecessary) when you want to rip. Example: as a guitar.

I watched this one a few months ago and still just love it! Incredible José! By the way, those are harmonics at 0:37? Also, I missed the tremolo technique when the video "folded." Do you use your thumb and index finger to play a tremolo on one string? Great compilation and beautifully played! 5* -Derek

Concerning the tremolo: use the index fingers of both hands, as needed, sometimes I use the tremolo for classical guitar. The repertoire is improvisation.
