good report about "Kumari", I can see that during the time of making this report there was still monarch now the king doesn't visit her. The head of the state, President visits her.

Its thousand year old tradition. Its hard to change very old societies.But i heard that situation is changing now they are paid pension for life after they retire from being Kumari. They are also now provided access to modern education. So, things are getting better. Hindus/ Buddhist are peaceful and pragmatic people.However treating woman as Goddess is better than treating them like slaves in some other cultures.
