If you think about it, Phil's final Pantera shows mirrored those of Jim Morrison before The Doors put out LA Woman, and his subsequent death. They both had long beards and had becomes drunken, druggie, out of control jackasses by the end of their bands "lifespan", and exhibited no respect for their music, the band or the audience. The similarity ends there of course. (hope this all makes sense)

I think Pantera was heard worldwide when they introduced groove metal to the world... I love that CFH, VDOP, and FBD albums..though they slightly dropped the high pitch voice on Phils vocals from CFH..Vinnie and Dime's riffs was so fucking groovy that it really stays inside my head.. & those days.Phil's vocals mix well with the groove.

when Phil took heroin he'd gone so much heavier..TGSTalbum started losing it.. RTS album lost everything Pantera was known for.. except for vinnie & Dime's riffs
