I can already imagine this in 3-D... you spring up out of the water with the camera tilted up at the hillside. As you move up the hill, the camera slowly goes to a top-down view. They could have a lot of fun with the angles in this city. =)

@HazreihelUchiha I can agree with you. 2nd gen was pure nostalgia and massive gameplay in Gold and Silver. Pokemon Stadium 2 was fun, yet very difficult. 3rd gen had Pokemon Colosseum (best 3D Pokemon game to ever come out) and the epic Ruby and Sapphire. Truly, 3rd gen was all-around better.

The story line involves the character directly, the massive differences between areas from the treetop city to the desert of epic music, to the dormant volcano city of sootopolis, to the small island town of dewford. The difficulty curve was very smooth going from really easy to really hard without the need for grinding at all until the final champion battle, and evne then you don't need all that much.

@HazreihelUchiha In a lot of ways, it was better. New technology = more things to work with. I'm not going to lie, it was better. But I like Gold the best because it was the only pokemon game where every city and every single place became my favourite. 3rd gen was really well done and the music in this game is fucking awesome. I think 2 and 3 are tied for number 1, but then again all the pokemon games bring their own style and should all never be ranked higher then the others!

i loved the wild pokemon theme, the trainer battle theme, gym leader, cities, elite four, champion themes, everything

the only problem was:

trumpets, trumpets everywhere

on the third gen remake the music will be remade without the trumpets and it will be the best music

i love these games, too bad they are underrated

In terms of graphics, pokemon available, music... Hoenn easily outclasses the 1st and 2nd generations. It also introduced pokemon contests, which I found fun.

I still have my Sapphire game, and relieve my nostalgia when I play it. Besides, it's useful to send pokemon from my Sapphire over to my 4th Gen games which otherwise I could never have found without doing so.

I remember one NPC in this city (I believe she was named Kiri, but my protagonist's name was Kiro, so I'm not sure if it was game-generated or something, though I doubt it...)

Either way, she gives you some berries and asks if being born in a certain season means you like that season. If you say "NO," then she says that there's a lot she wants to know. Has she been on the tiny little patch of grass all her life, or does Sootopolis have NO contact with the outside world at ALL?
