  • Wow.... What a talented kid... Completely amazing. I can only imagine the work he's put in to be able to play this so well.

  • I'm 14 and I have problems with playing it ... woow

  • Way to go! Keep up the good piano work!

  • Refreshing! I could see the rising hype of the child as the first movement was building up with its priceless extended legato's. Good job to both- the solid leading adult and the devout Bach child. My best Bach keyboard concerto! Bravo to both. I want to see the child play in Carnegie Hall, soon. I know I will...

Forget the bigots who use big words as Oriental, Typewriter, etc...

  • The emotion comes when kids are a bit older. The first thing is to get the technique, the second, the emotion, the sense of music

  • I think Bach didn't write any concert for piano - there was no piano when bach wrote his pieces

  • He called them "keyboard concertos." So he would have played them on a harpsichord, though there were early pianos available around the time they were written (1729-1736). However, most of the keyboard concertos came from pre-existing violin concertos, some written by Bach, and others not necessarily by him.

  • the "piano" you're writing about is not comparable to the piano we use today.

when bach tried more than 20(!) of those pianos for the german king, he said that there was not even one good...

  • guess i learn something new everyday

  • ...I now that you young, but this is Bach!!!, you can't play like this, it's BAD...

  • all orientals see the piano as an enlarged typewriter...you can sense this in their playing.

  • I don't think so.

It only seems so when they play european pieces :(

  • your racist viewpoints are not appreciated and are not true. look at videos of my cousin Martin Oei. he plays with much feeling

  • Foolish adults- rather than encourage a child who is probably more talented than you were at his age, you make ignorant and inane comments! Go critique another adult or your government instead!

  • i wouldnt consider him a prodigy, because all that he is doing is mechanical, what he has been taught to do

skill and talent comes with knowing how to hit the piano just right so thatthe sound (in this case) sounds passionate yet not harsh

    its HARD to do

  • Well I enjoyed it.

  • Absolutely BAD!!! This tempo, articulation,"touching" the instrument, very boring, and quite mad, agressive-without spirit, concentration, Brain, heart, and HANDS!!....but I can understand the "status" of this guy....maybe his mother is a "bit" crazy, and bitter person etc...

and this is a very terrible thing when asian people would like to teach their children for music, from the age of ~3...bad thing...because these children will be "burned out"...some years later....

  • Absolutely Brilliant!!

  • i love this song! it has a great melody to it :)

    great job btw :D

  • You are great!!!!!!!!!

  • Sympathique mais pas très musical, finalement. Bon courage...

  • lol, on parle d'un gamin de 10 ans qui manifestement ressent sa musique et qui prend du plaisir à jouer. Laissons lui le temps d'affiner sa musicalité. Excellente vidéo.

  • ) the boy is cool

  • The boy is cute and very talented as well. Great video. Is it you playing in the back?

  • Hhhmm, I just want to ask where is dinamica? The rythm is to fast, and to teacher-you sould play louder, because I don't hear you!+ for boy because he is very small I that concert is quite difficult, but you sould to work about your rythm, dinamico!

  • that boy is better than that woman o_O

  • dude the woman is good. the kid is amazing too though.

  • prodigious!!!! °¬° amazing technique !!

  • is this performance at the wells music recital hall in denver? that stage looks remarkably familiar to me...

  • Indeed it is.

  • how neat! i played my senior recital there, as well as competed in the yamaha. fun coincidence!

  • Well, if you played on the same piano you would see that its a Steinway Grand, just thought I`d say it.. :D

  • good job, dude :D

  • its prety good.

im a 30 years olds self taught pianist..and compose wanna be.

iv like the staccato way of playing.

no sustain is good for bach

    your son is pretty talented.

maybe a mistake at 1:10 but that's allright.

    iv enjoy that very much.

    young pianist+bach...its a winnner.

i so wish my mother was into this stuff.

  • ok....

  • Good on you Arthur. Very professional. I guess mum is your teacher. Thx for Posting it.

  • Thanks for the comment. Arthur's mom plays the flute, but is not his piano teacher.
