  • Cowtittie, oh my GOD, 13.2 seconds in the 1/4 mile. My 4 cylinder non turbo/supercharged 1.8 liter Lotus Elise does that. Big deal, lets see your piece of shit on the race track and try to keep with my Lotus. Come on over, you little fag amerikan. Oh yeah, almost forgot...Amerika doesn't deserve to be spelled correctly. No offense intended, but amerika is a urine rich ghetto.

  • Arguing on the internet is like competing in the special olympics. In the end, you're still retarded. Thank you.

  • Just ignore him, I think the human assembly plant stripped the threads when they were screwing his head on.

  • @Georgenfla .. who cares about countries... stock vs stock is comparing apples to oranges... but mess with somebody who KNOWS how to MAKE THEIR CAR PERFORM... plus knowing how to drive... then you've got another thing coming... chap

  • LogzisedTurd, don't even start talking about oranges and apples and how much of a fruit-tard you are. Im not interested, you stupid ass amerikan! Go drive your mustang to the gay bar, or the corner store you intend on robbing tonight, and keep your unintelligent comments to yourself. Im not interested in what a stupid amerikan has to say...LOL, you actually think I care? You stupid dumbass.

  • If you're going to talk crap about ameriCans, at least spell ameriCan right. FYI an update: 13.2 second car now.

  • I'm sure you're having a good time with all these completely spastic and retarded comments and I can't fault you for having fun but you should take a step back and you'd realise (with an s because I'm not American, which is spelled with a c) that everybody except for you, thinks you are an idiot.

    Knows, you are an idiot.

  • Logz, too bad your piece of shit amerikan v8 can't put out as much horsepower as a smaller in displacement 4.0liter v8. Its can't even match the displacement of a 4 cylinder Japanese economy car. Get over it loser.

  • Oh here we go again. Why do people like you find it necessary for a personal attack on someone you don't even know? Whatever point you're trying to prove, it doesn't help.

First of all, "displacement" is the volume in liters or inches cubed that your engine would "displace" in one full rotation if it were filled with liquid.

If you meant hosepower, I assure you that no "economy" car has more HP than my car. Economy cars aren't intended to be fast and they AREN'T. It's apples and oranges.

  • shits weak. all that money into your stang and still only runnin' 13.7!! ladies and gents... the mustang!!

  • Try 13.46 now that I have drag radials and steeda ultra lites and can get traction.

  • 08stang, the only way an S2000 Honda will run low 15s, is if its your S2000, because your Daddy bought it for you with an automatic transmission and 4 doors! You are a little fem twink!

  • Caw, thats what I like to hear.

  • If you want to try some skillful driving, try roadracing.

  • I have actually (well, Performance Driving Experience (PDX) through the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) in the very car you see in these videos. It actually handled remarkably well and I was able to give some 'Vettes a run for their money. Kept one in front and one in the rear the whole time. I actually got to see a Ferarri blow a tire and hit the wall. I've got pics and it's kinda bad lol.

  • Cawtit, It takes no skill to push the pedal to the floor, keep the steering straight. Drag racing is as boring as stock car racing.

  • Actually if u think about it it does take some pretty decent skill. It's all about timing shifts at the EXACT right time and launching JUST right. It takes even more skill to do it with a manual like I have. It's not just pushing the pedal to the floor and going in a straight line. U gotta keep control of the car after u shift (sometimes it will get squirrely). You gotta keep the car in the groove to go faster and take into account weather conditions to maximize performance, among other things.

  • Yeah, you need mods to hit 13.7 with your V8. Like I said, do a search on YOUTUBE for the Honda S2000...just to name one Japanese car...

  • Yeah because we all know that EVERYTHING on youtube is 100% accurate and EVERYONE tells the truth about the videos they post lol. By the way for anyone's future reference lets not let anything get too heated cuz its kinda stupid if people get seriously angry with stuff like this.

  • One thing that is accurate is that the new cobalt ss, bone stock, ran a faster time than your modded muffstain. That must be embarrassing.

  • I call shenanigans. A friend of mine here has a 09 Cobalt SS and yeah its fast, but not nearly as fast as mine. And his intake pretty much exploded for no good reason and he has NO modifications except for a K&N replacement panel air filter. He has told me that sometimes he wishes he had bought a Mustang.

  • Well then he clearly doesn't know how to drive a boosted FWD car. Just type in Stock Cobalt SS/TC and it should be the first video...13.665 @ 104.25...and that's not even the fastest recorded run to date...Face it...the new model muffstain...although powered well...is REALLY overweight..like the 04-06 GTOs..powerful but they are big fatties.

  • Thats nothing that a little weight reduction cant fix. Besides, it still doesnt change the fact that the cobalts arent nearly as well put together as the Mustang, considering both of my friends that have Cobalts, one an 09 and one a few years earlier, have had it in the shop severa times due to mechanical issues with the car (and this was when they were new) :-P

  • And on top of that he says the track was very well prepped. Thats not always the case. Additionally, I am very skeptical when it comes to information put out on places like youtube.

  • True..the car was still stock though..and like I said faster times than even that time have already been posted bone stock. As for being well put together...neither of the 2 is. They are both cheaply made (outside of the motors)...and the interiors on them both are about as exciting as watching paint dry...my only point was that a cobalt is faster than the iconic mustang...and costs less...and gets 30mpg.

  • I have an '09 GT and I actually like the interior (although yes, it's cheap) and the gas mileage is decent if you don't push it.

I'd like to point out engine durability. I can tune my car.. I'd be afraid to put anything into a cobalt and have it time-bomb on me a couple years (months) down the road.

If it really does run faster times on the 1/4 mile. Stock vs stock, same driver, same track etc than I agree it's kind of funny. But I'd still rather my big fat heavy overpriced Mustang... lol

  • s2000 run 15's and keep dumpin that clutch at red line lets see how long that trans last for just like shitty wrx and evos...dude ur a fuckin moron

  • CAW, I think you need to start looking on YOUTUBE under S2000, or Focus ST, or Supra, or Celica, because you are sadly mistaken. The time for american V8s are way in the past! There was an "old" saying, "There is no replacement for displacement". That was a very old saying. The up to date saying is, "There is no replacement for technology", and "There is no place for V8s". V8s are slow, inefficient, and boat anchors. Sorry, the truth hurts.

  • then why do you get more power per psi on a bigger motor? add a turbo to ur little mountain dew bottle, get MAYBE 50 hp more, vs around 100 hp more on a v8... do your homework. i have.

  • Yeah the new 4cyl turbos can put out as much horsepower as my V8 but they're tuned and tweaked from the factory and those engines are under a lot of stress. To say V8's suck is just foolish. Look what BMW has done with the M3. It's only a 4.0 and it has 420 horsepower naturally aspirated. And it's probably not a timebomb like some boosted cars.

That being said I like Turbo cars too and the Supra is just win.

It's ok not to like muscle cars but don't make shit up about them to support it.

  • A stock Honda S2000 can run 14 flat with a naturally aspirated 4 cylinder engine. I would think with all that displacement a mustang gt would go at least low 12s, but mustangs are american cars...SLOW!!!

  • Still faster though. And American Muscle will always outdo imports.

  • Yeah but you gotta remember it's still on street tires. I found a guy who was a mechanic for Ford and could drive really well and have a few more and different mods than I did and was pulling low 13s.

  • 13.7 with all those mods
