All of these issues are either prevalent on PCs as well (if not more so), or have never happened to me or any of the dozens of people I know who use macs. Macs crash less than PCs, you have time Machine to get any file you've deleted ever, and he mentions none of the security issues and sloppy coding in PC operating systems.

i like macs... kinda yet i've been using them ever since i was young. mac are friendly for BASIC internet and word prossesing. now that i am trying to run thing for mac i have noticed that macs can't do sh!t unless of course you investing in thousands of dollars just so you can have user friendly broadbands. i wish i had pc =[

I know where he is coming from. What you don't seem to understand is that industry standard for film and video editing is on a Mac. Like he said, AVID and FinalCut Pro.. So whether or not he wants to, he is on a Mac for work.. As am I.

Mac is weird. I end up doing more clicking than in windows, and spend more time resizing and shifting windows because they don't open default to full size. When you download or install something, it creates all these aliases in various places. 'Eject' sometimes means eject but other times means delete. 'Copy' sometimes means 'install' and I haven't figured out what 'mount' means, but it sounds dirty. Oh, and there are two or three libraries, but none have books in them.

Trust me, even though Macs still have their problems, they've come a looooooooooooooooooooong way. All computers have. He'd probably fair much better now since apple aims towards a more simplified system, but I doubt he'd want to due to previous bad experiences and lack of control on current systems.

this dude is just lying ... he fantasies facts that are just untrue ... when you drag and drop files from a cdrom or any other external file system, it simple creates copies instead of links (how he just said). the only OS I know that makes links instead of copies is Windows(until 2000) which makes links if you drag and drop .exe files ... and that killed his inner child. uh if it crashes when you rename a file you can go in into msdos and recover it if you know what your doing. however on a mac.... not so much. ive done it before when i got a virus, thank god i have norton antivirus now! not the same problems.

We used Macs in my video editing class...yeah, it worked after a few times of trying each time.

We only have Windows at home. Two XP laptops and 2 Vista desktops. I like both operating systems. I use my XP for some online software that hasn't been updated for Vista, but I love my Vista, and I use it for everything (including games all the way back for DOS) and it's fine and dandy. :)

one more thing i think the best part of a mac is when it comes time to upgrade something like the video card on for ex. an imac. its really easy you just throw out this 1500$ computer after 2 yrs or so and get a new one instead of just buying the 150 or 200$ video card and putting it in urself. makes life alot easier cause i also get to spend less time wishing i could play a game or too and more time working to pay off the new computer

the difference between a mac and a pc crashing is if a pc crashes it normally gives you some sort of error code or you can easily figure out what the cause was ex. rendering video in Premiere on a mac ive had things just disappear when i wasnt touching the computer :S now that is confusing and no error codes that i can fix myself or anything
