i heard about this. apparently there's a run only trout and salmon can pass to get into the lake, bypassing a man-made structure, a dam or something. it's a bit narrow minded to think that pike wouldn't get in after the flooding we've had and the easy transport from passing birds.

waste of time trying to catch the pike, no chance of catching them all. even if they did, they'd get back in.

the old stock just want to blame someone and say it was on purpose to get the wrfb to remove them.

We had record flooding in the area the year the pike were spotted, high enough to bypass the structure. They could have been introduced but I'm not convinced. There's no getting rid of them now, waste of time and effort trying.
