dont get me wrong this is very cool, but i feel like this is more skateboarding on a longboard. It's not longboarding. Bombing hill, downhill, speed checking around a 90 degree turn, crusing around your city or town. Thats was i see longboarding not tricks like these. And yes i know i can not do most of these tricks.

the only thing i don't like about the old school trick is that 75% of the time there sloppy as fuck and it has nothing to do with rider skill just a big board to have to swing around so it usually looks sloppy

To alot of people longboarding is about dancing. To others it's about bombing the biggest hill they can find. And to some, it's about intergrating street style skating.

It's still longboarding, regardless of what you are doing on your longboard and that is the big picture. We are all longboarders and we should accept that we all enjoy riding different ways. Not hate on each other because some people do things differently.

I love this video. Loving the skate style tricks with longboards, sort of a new age, modern, classy style to skating. I also have the tan tien and am trying to achieve a similar style if riding, but am having a very difficult time. Can't even do a basic shuv it yet lol. And i'll never be able to achieve those grinds with a flex 3 board at 140 lbs, but oh well. If anyone could slide me some tips on improving my riding, it would be greatly appreciated.

Just ordered my Tan Tien then, Should be here Monday or Tuesday. As soon as it does get here I'm going to head into the new Belco Skatepark and try out some more skate related things on it.

I know that that isn't what longboarding is, its so much more chilled and free, but to be ohnest I'm not a big fan of skating and now I can have skate experience with the freedom and feeling of a longboard that I love so much

For longboarding to progress as a sport, it must progress in all facets. I understand not wanting it to culminate to just skate parks and things like that. but i feel like that can still exist, this is still progression, because progression has many different forms.

To encourage longboarding, we should encourage all of the forms, and be happy to be able to witness a glorious sport in the prime of its development! I am excited for the future of longboards and longboarding
