I know alot better way of doing the first trick without having to choose another card to find it. while you are shuffling, always keep the same card on the bottom, you can change it at your will if you please. or if somebody notices. barely pull the bottom card out to where nobody can see it and keep your thumb on it. act like you want them to call a card. tell them to tell you when to stop. then you pull the card out from the bottom. So easy. has won me many of 12 packs.

i know a varation on the first one :) Let them shuffle the deck and take a card out. As they look at the card, YOU have to cut the card anywhere you want and turn around the pack which you have cutted and put it on the bottom.Now you know the card, without any setup. Instead of letting them put the card on the top do a HINDU SHUFFLE (Bottom card stays ;) ) and tell them to say stop anytime they want but before you are finished ;D then proceed as pogobat says :D
