@jadedtortoise1 The cans are no longer marked "product of Norway". Poland may be a fine country, but do NOT like their sardines. If real Norwegian sardines are not available, try Crown Prince brisling sardines, a product of Scotland.
I tasted these for the first time today and they were yummy! I got the King Oscar brisling sardines in olive oil. Tasty right out of the can, but after a few I started eating them on crackers for extra zing and krunch.
Just had some, and without having tried authentic Norwegian variety i have to say that these still were quite tasty.

They process the sardines in Poland, they don't catch them there

Well, King Oscar Sardines will from the start of May, not be fished and produced in Norway, but will be fished and produced in Poland.
However, it it far from the same quality, as far as we have seen.

I wondered what the heck Wal*Mart was doing selling King Oscar Polish sardines! If not from Norway, I will probably eat the cheaper brands.
