Sorry to say this but, I only saw handsome Kenedy once when he was passing through Kullebe to go to harar in the midd 70s eth cal and he liked me. Well, nothing really happen between us so, he dated some girl name Almaz and she is very beautiful. If u want full story let me know by leaving ur e-mail address. I`m glad you gave me the general idea about the song--love between the two singers. I have a cassette with these very sweet voices of Yeshimebet & Kennedy. It is with me for many years because I love the songs though I don`t understand their meaning. One side of the cassette begins with this song and other side begins with other songs.

One of the most prolific artists from Ethiopia, Kennedy died untimely @28 if I remember correctly.

You can tell from the quality of his voice what a blow it has been to the further advancement of Ethiopian music.

Kennedy passed in the late 1980s, if not in the early 1990s.

@africanswain the guy sings about his heart running to her every time and you are tossing with it, but still running to you in my thoughts...the girl sings about missing him and the guy said even my heart did not give up on u...for the sake of old memories lets get together...some thing to that effect ..
