What I should have said is "99% of these guys go broke playing poker". What you are seeing on TV is the very small handful of times they win big, the other 99 times they aren't on the camera they are losing, and losing big. You dont get rich playing poker. If you are good enough to win, it means you play a lot, which means you lose a lot.
