The Dark Knight, comes to mind (doing what is neccesary to fight terrorism), as do Quantum Of Solace (Global Warming is a conspiratorial hoax that 007 must stop); Star Trek '09 (Young Kirk must man up and take charge of his own life in order to save the Federation); 300 (Freedom is worth fighting for--unto death)--and more will come. You just wait and see.

I believe the film wasn't pushed much because it was terrible. Hollywood is only interested in money. They support what makes money. Right wing comedies don't make money because they tend to be overbearing, crude and they hold dubious levels of unfunny political undertones.

Also Mr. Limbaugh thinks the economic crisis was orchestrated? Does he understand the intrinsic complicities of macro economics?

Rush was right about that "confidence has been restored" effect that Obama would bring if he won. Haven't seen the movie, although I was aware of it, I never knew it was out while it was out and I don't think my local theatre is showing it (if they ever were). Also, I personally have a feeling that the movie might have done ALOT better if it got half the mainstream advertising that other movies like "W" got and was a full-release movie that was shown in theatres all over like "W".

This movie bombed big time. As of 10/24 the movie grossed only 6.7 mil. Religulous which opened the same night on less screens is at almost 10 mil. The production budget for american carol is 20 million so its a loser. It will probably make a net profit after DVD sales but dont expect any more conservative comedies coming out anytime soon.

My wife ad I saw the movie opening night. We have not had this much fun going to a movie in years. The audience were laughing out loud, and the laughter was contagious. Once a chuckle started it seems to spread through the entire room crescendoing to uncontrollable laughter. I'm glad I decided to spend the extra money to see the movie in the theater. I'm sure most folks who do go will share the same sentiment. Another thing we both left the theater Happy!

We live in a representative republic, which does not allow us to do whatever we want under the guise of "rights". We now have "hate crime" laws, which impose extra penalties on people based on what they "thought" during the commission of a crime against certain groups of people, including gays. On his show, Limbaugh continously debates people with opposing views; he doesn't hang up on them or call them names. This is going nowhere. We will not change each other's minds. Just saw this movie; it's a 12 on a scale of 1-10. Hilarious, true and spot-on. It correctly calls out and mocks the liberal left, including the corrupt college establishement. It's a must-see if you love America. It's filled with "Change and Hope."

Just saw this and absolutely loved it! Coincidentally, it was shown in the "right wing" of the movie theatre lol. I'm so glad they stepped out and did this! I laughed a lot and it was a really refreshing film because I'd been frustrated about how the liberal media is just spoon-feeding people lies. But yeah, An American Carol is probably one of the best films I've seen in a loooong time!

Some parts it seemed like the rightwing message took priority over the laughs, but most of it actually look pretty funny.
