Brilliant! I remember going to see Jimmy in Weymouth in the 80's when my ship was at Portland. The huge gang of women all wearing t-shirts was testament to his fame.Very entertaining evening we had too and wish I could have got back to see him again but never did. Rock on Jimmy.....
ive got footage of him performing at my parents wedding up the kimberlin club - he goes ape and performs for a few hours, I was about 8 - The man is a certified legend.
Went to see Sir Jimmy many years a go in the Vikky Lodge but he didn't turn up. Me and another guy did a bit of a turn and earnt a bottle of gin from the landlord.
great video, what year is this? I used to be in his band in the late 80's, still remember how the bass player used to try and set his cape on fire with a lighter behind his back...
i used to work at the pontins riviera in the late 1980,s and trips to the golden eagle, complete with jjt were some of the best times of my life.does anyone remember the tv documentry that was made about jimmy?who ever posted this, thanks,it,s brilliant and brings back so many happy memories
Remember a particularly whisky laden pre deployment p*** up at the golden eagle with the ships flight. Jumpin Jimmy on top form with all the favourites including Jack the Ripper and Werewolves of London. Class, waooooooo!!
I used to go and see JJT at the Golden Eagle in Weymouth whenever we were in Weymouth for a run ashore, he was so bad he was brilliant! This is a great blast from the past Jimmy, Jimmy, Jimmy
I was just chatting to him today in Londis at the end of Abbotsbury Road which is why I checked him out at YouTube. He has to use a walking stick nowadays but he says he's still performing. And he's certainly still a character.
my nan and grandad are in this video youi can see my grandad 1:44 they are dancing behind the jack the ripper man :D

No! He's not dead, but I have to tell you that he is more like 'limpin' Jimmy Thunder.
Still, aren't we all!
