@sirtechy If you are going to be doing professional video and need the manual controls, the t3i is easily the way to go! It is also better in low light and at higher ISO settings.
However if you're looking for something more compact, the G3 is the way to go.

@sirtechy It depends what you want to do. The t3i has manual video controls and a larger sensor. The G3 is smaller though and less expensive.
The Lumix G3 records at 1920 x 1080, 50i (from 25 fps sensor output)
