Geek Talk: Verizon RAZR Rant

Ever heard of stereo Bluetooth? I'm on an iPhone now but the RAZR was a great phone for it's time. It was the iPhone of the cellular world...and Cingular had exclusivity to it. Then T-Mobile, then last but not least Verizon.

As for Say A Command, you have to say "call John" etc. Not just "John"....same as Voice Control on iPhone.

The Cingular/AT-AT sucks balls It took me a week to figure out how to speed dial. Why coudnt they have put a speed dial thing n the phone shit even my old Verizon 2002 phone which has an oldfashioned LCD screen all you had to do was go to contacts go to the contact and then done!BUTT NO THE RAZR IS A PIECE OF SHIT!

I agree with you man. I have a Motorola Razr with Verizon and it sucks fat cock. The menus go really slow. I've been trying to send a message to my gf for the past 5 minutes

no razr has the headphone spot to just put the headphones right in. A lot of music phones dont even have a headphone jack

You clearly know nothing about cell phones.I'm assuming that Verizon is a cellular service provider? Like Vodafone or Optus. The phone itself is manufactured my Motorola. Software on the phone varies depending on the service provider that's why "you've heard other RAZRs are better quality" but otherwise, all models of the RAZR V3 are the same in terms of hardware.

also the models are different verizon and cingular use V3m anss everyone else uses V3i

That aside, RAZR is not manufactured by Verizon. It is manufactured by Motorola. So it is incorrect to call it a "Verizon RAZR". It has been modified for use by Verizon, but ultimately it is still a Motorola phone. The reason why you can only receive service with Verizon is because their model of the RAZR (the V3m) operates using CMDA technology, which covers a larger area than GSM technology (used by Cingular in the V3i)

ah but Verizon used to have the excclusive to the razr. i was going based on rumor not fact i never said that it was true i never wantd to start a flame war i personally feel that cell phone technology is a useless one so i do not lok into it too often. im onee of the few teenagers who could live with no cell phone ever.

Ha. Please kid. Don't patronize me. Do your research before you attempt to post a retort. Verizon is indeed a large telecommunications company which operates primarily in the United States. They have little presence in the telecommunications industry where I'm from (Australia) Although their business division "Verizon Business" does operate in two major cities around here.

oh ok i see waht you mean, well its still a motorola phone verizon doesnt produce it, they are all basically the same the Razrs. Another thing is of course the sound is gonna sound like shit its a fucking phone...phones arnt going to have great speakers or 5.1 surround sound.
