  • is that a clip on.

  • What would you say the 1" board equivelant to that red rebreakable would be?

  • it is hard to be exact because wooden boards are so variable in strength. however with about the same force as I use to break 1 (UKTA) redboard I can go through 6 1" pine boards with no spacers.

  • @RedhillTaekwondo totally agree. depending on the wood (and how its been treated lol), breaking boards promote precise breaking tools with no environmental damage/waste. if you miss the breaking line, you have to use more focus to break the boards!

i don't know what compound they use to make those boards but the red ones are rock solid sometimes and those boards in the clip look brand new! i pray for wood and bricks at every grading!

    great montage, taekwon

  • lol @ flashlegz.... i love mr Martinez's swagger at the end :D

  • It is not a swagger. ;)

  • lol u serious?! its in slow-mo....rofl

  • Some speed needed, lethargic.

  • Also...sort out your grammar/spelling...doesnt make your argument very intelligent

  • made to ITF Spec. Its not dangerous in the slightest!

You go for a break if you feel confident, its your choice. No one is forced to perform a break at all! Can only assume your not ITF.....would explain alot tbh

  • That board holder is dangerously stupid. Notice how every kick hit the backside of the hard wood holder. Doesnt take a genious to realize that someoen is going to hit the board holder wrong, hurt themself and then suit the school.

  • I made that board holder 16 years ago and to my certain knowledge none of my students have ever hurt themselves by hitting the back of it. The Distance from the back of the board to the wood is about 8" and in Taekwon-do you should only penetrate the target by 4" so I can assure you if you know how to break it is quite safe. In any case before attempting to break you should have toughened up the part of the body to be used so what would be the big deal in hitting a lump of wood?

  • If you know what you are doing, you won't hit the back. Even a beginner can avoid the kind of follow through that is allowed for on that device.

  • Tis called "Requiem for a Dream" i believe ;)

  • This makes me want to get back into training so badly!

    What's the music you used?
