  • Does the recoil become less when using silencers?

  • @ctrlaltWOOT While it is certainly less loud, it's still a gun firing a supersonic projectile, and it is also semi-automatic. I wouldn't say it's comfortable, but it's doable. It will still cause hearing loss, and hearing protecting is recommended.

  • LOL The kid said, "Semi automatic machine gun sniper rifle"! That's just hilarious!

  • probably the best flash hider and silencer combo around. great vid..

  • Thanks for the video

  • man i want that gun... and the silencer...

  • That's pretty ingenious. Using a mesh a mesh bag to catch shells. Sure beats bending over in the dirt.

  • @whoitmayconcern. Who cares if its called a suppressor or silencer, you probably found out playing Modern Warfare.

  • I guess I've been playing too many video games, but wow, silenced weapons are still quite loud. Like in this, the initial noise isn't that loud, but the resounding noise is.

I don't get why anyone would want a silencer. The sound is the best part.

  • @DWSimmy

...But sometimes, broadcasting that beautiful sound is very "undesirable".

  • @DWSimmy

You aren't hearing the explosion from the cartridge, you are hearing the bullet. If he had shot subsonic rounds then you would hear even less. Sometimes the loudest part is the bolt operating

  • Hey, it would make a lot less noise without the echo?

  • @SubzeroedMind it's because he's using supersonic rounds. What you're hearing is the sonic boom from the round breaking the sound barrier =)

  • why is everyone trying to correct him? he onws a silencer/suppressor so hes clearly not someone whos main concern is making sure people on youtube are 100% correct about minor details in their videos

  • Man in Australia u own a silencer u get life prison

  • what would you equate the loudness of the suppressed shot from this weapon to?

  • @scallywag86 about as loud as a regular 22.

  • Suppressors/Silencers are very easy to make. The theory is all the same. Vent the pressure inside the suppressor. It all some down to good engineering.

  • @detectiveinspekta I heard that the effect is akin of a sharp pin making a small hole on a balloon, releasing the air in a quiet way rather than a blast.

  • My idea of a silencer is a large bottle of wine for the wife. Works like a champ!!!

  • @schlaznger Most women I know won't shut up after they've have had a few glasses of wine, so I guess the whole bottle would be needed to make them pass out.

  • @schlaznger lol hell yeah...

  • hey arbor, i have a video on my page of me shooting my AR15 with a Liberty Constitution on it.

  • cleaver idea using the mesh bag to catch the shells

  • nice video

  • sounds more like a supressor

  • Great way to save earth by collecting spent cartriges. Isn't it hot enough to burn through fabric though?

  • how much did this set up run you?

  • still pretty loud

  • @OneManWolfPak

    Supersonic boom or crack...

  • @OneManWolfPak have you ever heard a supressed firearm shoot a supersonic round?

  • Woah, I'm surprised at the sound/echo even with the silencer/suppressor. Good video.

  • dude. you oughta convert that baby to full auto. thats probably what im gonna do. or see if i can just add a selector switch. probably easier that way...

  • @jediguardian10

He would have to be a class 3 dealer to convert that to full auto, then he would have to sell it after his license expires.

  • @jediguardian10

please tell me you're fucking joking....

  • all the guns from ur video is all your???????

  • not bad grouping.

  • its funny how many people diss C.o.D. MW2 they must fucking suck at that game but they dont give any gun knowledge on that game quick being fucking noobs and man up a bit

  • hey where did you get that net thing to catch your empty brass lets me know please i would like to get one for mine and one more question do they make those for other types of guns

  • @Loranzo1990 You can get them from suppliers like Midway, Brownells, etc. Some will not work on a flat top with a optic mounted.

  • just doesnt sound like in mw2

  • @TheMrPhucked1

Obviously..mw2 is a god damn video game...

  • 0:00 is that a bag to hold ur used bullets? handy :D

  • @playmorepsp Its to catch brass when you fire, so you don't have to find it in the bushes if you want to keep it to reload.

  • @BDBK666 where did u get the brass catcher?

  • are you using subsonic ammunition???

  • @xygnal doesn't sound like it, you hear the supersonic crack still echoing off the trees

  • Dude, please respond... Isn't it illegal to own a military grade firearm, like an assault rifle, even in America, or are you an Army man ? Or do you work at a shooting range ? Or how did you get your hands on one, my country does NOT allow any kind of non hunting weapon to be purchased by individuals so you might want to enlighten me....

  • @bigsteamfan this is a legal firearm in most parts of america.

  • does a ilencer reduce the performence of the weapon? i keep hearing some say yes an some say no, have you seen a difference ?

  • neat shell catcher.

  • Sweet...all you can hear is the echo of the breech......

  • the ar-15 isnt a bad gun but for me i have a ar-10 that i think is better

  • omfg silenced it kinda sounds like a paintball gun

  • Sounds like a 22 silenced

  • Dear Santa...

  • can civilians buy suppresors?

  • Great video! That's a nice hider/silencer combo!

  • Black Water tat?

  • I love that silenced sound.

  • I look forward to checking out more of your videos. I particularly liked the video with the 10/22 with silencer. That was amazing. Keeping making vids man, very bad ass stuff.

  • hey man by any chance i could get some specks on the .22 and .223 can???

  • Hohoho is that Gir I see around your neck? Oh and I have a question, how long did it take for you to accumulate all the guns that you have now?

  • are u in the states cause if ur in canada u can go to jail dummie

  • where can i buy that flash suppressor and silencer to fit over top it?

    I have a DPMS Panther Arms AR15 M4 style .223 5.56mm

  • No one needs a semi automatic machine gun sniper rifle

  • @TheGunsDoKillPeople

I left your comment up for the laughs it'll give people. I LOVE your profile on here and your page in general, very entertaining. Thanks for the laughs, and I do hope people don't get mad at you for trolling.

You really brightened my day up, dude. I'll smile every time I think of your comment while I'm at the shooting range. :)

  • ROFL, thanks for keeping his that comment, watched his vid and can't stop laughing!

  • @elitearbor He close his page. :'( Sad day for me.

  • @elitearbor I enjoy reading your comments back to ignorant fools. Keep up the videos and educating the failures (I realize this is a old video).

  • @elitearbor That's funny the individual you replied to closed their account. Good handeling that.

  • @elitearbor Good job for that one, people need to know not everyone who enjoys firearms is a ignorant Call of Duty educated child. BTW very jealous of the gear, up in Canada I have little hope of anything past my Remington 203. Keep doing what you do! Peace!

  • @TheGunsDoKillPeople

Shine on you crazy diamond. Shine on.

  • @TheGunsDoKillPeople There are a number of things people need to survive; food, water, atmospheric pressure, shelter from the elements, and semi-automatic machine gun sniper rifles.

  • @buddiiee

I agree with you 100% buddiiee, most comments on you tube gun videos are from kids or idiots that think they know what they are talking about because "one of their briends had a friend that said......." LOL!

  • cool

  • big difference. would be better if he used subsonic ammo.

  • @phillyfirefighter Im not sure if there is sub ammo for .223

  • fail

  • i have a question what was the suppressing material in the suppressor?

  • @xXxbwelitexXx The suppressing material in the M4-1000 is a series of conical shaped baffles made out of Inconel and stainless steel.

Read wikipedia, silencertalk, etc if you are interested.

  • with the silencer on, sounds like a .22

  • it is a .22 ... just a .001 bigger lol

  • @jts1991

maybe a tad bit more powder.

  • @mshalopd hehe, just a tad ;)

  • @jts1991 also the actual bullet is about twice as heavy and has more powder behind it...

  • @jts1991 a .223 cartridge is alot bigger than a .22

  • I was just thinking that haha.

  • man, americans have so much fun, its illegal to own a silencer in aus.

  • Not all americans are that lucky. :(

Some states suck balls, like NY, and you can't own a lot of the best things (one of which is a silencer that's not factory attached)

  • @bernard0black

its a pain in the ass to get one here. at least u can have guns there, unlike the uk

  • yeah, here in canada we can't have sound suppressors either

  • @bernard0black Its illegal to have a gun here, even an airsoft gun is illegal here, so don't whine :(

  • @bernard0black

man i thank god everyday of my life that guns are illegal for mass murderers, maniacs and idiots here in good old oz.

  • @malbert34 Yeah, because mass murderers and maniacs follow the law.

  • @bernard0black its illegal to own pretty much anything here, cant even have a fucking airsoft rifle in aus.

  • yeah slap that on there while the gun is loaded!! who cares about gun safety!!

  • @Oldblueracer safety was prob on... and if this guy has a silencer he probably knows how to handle a firearm. give him a break

  • That's how the pros do it. Put the gun on Safe, Screw on suppressor, take off safe and fire.

  • @48238 I noticed that too.

  • What Round do AR-15's take??

  • .223 remington or 5.56 NATO

  • It depends what round the upper receiver was chambered for, common rounds include, but are not limited to: 9mm luger, .45ACP, .223 Remington, 5.56mm NATO, 5.7x28mm, etc.

  • where did you get it

  • @DL9619 the gun store?

  • What brand of .223 is the Gun and what particular model? Also, who make the silencer and what particular model? I'm interested in purchasing a 223 as my first rifle and am really impressed with yours! Please email me!

  • you sound like wayne from wayne's world a tiny bit

  • they do sound really quiet it all depends on what amo you use a subsonic round is extremely quiet

  • is that a blackwaters tattoo on your left hand ? and if it is, nice :D

  • Yeah, that's the bear paw insignia of black water.

  • People who get their information from Call of Duty aren't even getting enough, even if it was valid information. I hope they realize that Call of Duty won't tell you that the M1 Garand has an average velocity of 2,800 feet per second or that the M1911 Colt .45 has an average velocity of 830 feet per second. It won't even tell you that the M4 Carbine has an average velocity of 2,900 feet per second. 36 grain .223 rounds will reach 3,750 feet per second. How's that for gun knowledge CoD fans? LOL!

  • Wow even i can spend 5 minutes on Wikipedia finding the velocity of all these gun i just think its funny how amazing you think you are for knowing the velocity's of these few gun their is a lot more info about gun other than their velocity, next time just copy and paste the whole article to impress me.

  • Youre cool arent you?

  • Hows that for google?

    But really, nobody actually cares.

  • lol, stopped him in his tracks. nice.

  • @XxC0NDEMNEDxX Actual the manual for call of duty 1 does in fact tell you all that info for the m1 garand and colt 1911. But you know, You ignorant and i can't blame you for that.

  • any mention of call of dootie in a gun video is fail.

  • @XxC0NDEMNEDxX

Muzzle velocity only means so much. Does it tell you how to operate the weapon? Maintain it? Feed it the right ammo? No, it fuckin doesn't! Numbers don't mean too much in a gun fight.

  • Get some subsonic ammo in that sexy rifle and you will have a real suppressed weapon :) SWEET GUN

  • it sounds like a .22 with the silencer

  • Humorous how many folks get all of their gun "knowledge" from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare lol....

  • amen to that. i'm sick of seeing comments on gun videos saying stuff like ''oh yeah a supressed gun sounds really quiet they all do yeah yeah''. it really pisses me off

  • i learn all my weapon info from watching the History channel.

    History is cool

  • Noo. I only have national geo, discovery, and travell :D

  • OMG everytime i see some 12 year old thinking he knows about ballistics and weaponry cuz he gets "headshots" on call of duty it pisses me off O SO BAD

  • @Zinkyness

That may be true..but this just boost the interest in guns :)

  • @Zinkyness everybody its a lot cheaper

  • big difference but range is reduced, can still fuck u up tho

  • ... Do you actually have experience with guns or do you just play video games? A silencer will under the right conditions actually INCREASE velocity in a carbine length barrel, therefore increasing total effective range.

  • true, if you used subsonic ammo it would reduce range

  • nice call of duty knowledge...it actually can increase range and range..well now that im writing this i see that UselessRobotToy has stated this..nevertheless...Dont get your info from video games...because its wrong most of the time

  • What you are talking about would fall under the category of civics, not philosophy.

  • hey guys ar-15 is the canadian name for m4? of they are 2 diff weapons all together?

  • negative a ar-15 is a semi automatic and an m4 is full/select fire but it depends on the manufacturer

  • the ar-15 (Armalight Rifle model 15) is the civilian equivalent to the US military's M16. They are all based around the same weapon model and firing system while the M4 is simply an M16/AR-15 with a shorter barrel and usually a compressible stock.

  • very nice

  • Hiram maxim called it a suppressor when he patented the idea of a firearm sound dampening instrument in 1908, so all you nerd ragers can rightly fuck off

  • Might want to check that info... Maxim patented a "silencer" and trademarked that name, as well. It's a silencer. ;)

  • isnt it called a suppressor..

  • haha yes they are. they are commonly referred to as silencers, but they are almost always technically referred to suppressors. so it can really be referred to as either i guess. surprised to see a liberal know the differance ;)

  • HaHA its either that or a "Can" ...... But other than that fucking great video

  • HAHA (Falls out of computer chair)

  • "silencer" is the term that the BATF uses. In Europe, most governments use the term "suppressor" or "sound suppressor". I prefer the term "suppressor" because it's more technically accurate. It's really just a matter of preference, because the two terms are synonymous.

I think using the term "silencer" is a little less confusing though. Some people confuse "flash suppressor" with "sound suppressor", and obviously, these are two completely different devices.

  • No son...Its call a Silencer. Suppressor is for political correctness douch.

  • are silencer legal

  • with a $200 tax stamp, yes

  • yeah they are legal in some states but you can expect visits from some folks asking you to see them and why you have them AT ANY TIME AND WHATEVER YOU DO WHEN THEY ASK TO SEE IT YOU BETTER BE ABLE TO PRODUCE .WHEN I SAY ANY TIME I MEAN ANY TIME .

  • To have a item like that all you have to do is register it with the BATF with a $200 tax stamp, no class 3 license, I have 3 full auto weapon and spent the great $600 to have them registered to me.

  • is that an invader zim necklace? nerd sighted

  • AAC suppressor?

  • the silencer on the end will stop the sound of the muzzle blast, but the sound of the bullet braking the sound barrier cannot be stoped. to make it completely silenced you need to use sub sonic ammo (bullets that go slower than the speed of sound). then it will be fully silenced. although there will still be a sound from the action, but this isnt very loud.

  • Now it sounds like a .22 instead.

  • it really does

  • Dude... all guns will make noise with a silencer... there's probably no silencer that will make the gun put out NO NOISE.. it's just used to sound reduction, not elimination lol

  • yep that's why they're called suppressors not silencers because they suppress the noise rather than removing it

  • I dunno about that.

I'd challenge you to hear anything above background from my bolt CZ shooting 22Short with a can

    : )

I'm looking for a new can for a WASR10 can anyone help me out. Price isn't really a factor, and durability is more important to me (with the AK) than sound reduction.

  • I dont get it i thought you cant hear nothing when you have a silencer. That silencer is good but it just takes away the bang. I dont know i could be way off but are there like silencers that make hardly no sound at all??

  • It's not like in the movies where the gun makes a soft "pew pew" sound. ARs are loud, this silencer makes a huge difference.

  • "I dont get it i thought you cant hear nothing when you have a silencer"

    LOL

    Only on TV, dude

  • Go back to playing COD4. There is no silencer in existence that completely reduces sound. While subsonic is pretty quiet, it still makes noise. Supersonic (what you heard here) is still gonna be loud (about as loud as a .22). Silencers work by gradually releasing the gas that makes the "bang" inside them, but it can't release all of it. A silencer would have to be pretty big to make it so theres hardly any sound, and there would still be sound from the bolt cycling.

  • Check out a P22 with subsonic ammunition that doesn't even have the energy to throw the slide back. Almost completely silent.

  • yeah a canned bolt action 22 shooting shorties. Won't hear it above the breeze

  • Does the suppressor make the rifle less accurate?

  • Not at all. :)

  • Sweet!!

  • you lucky sob....cant get a class 3 license in cali...just wondering how much did the silencer cost?

  • really its not silencing it its suppressing it, and is really just to make the sound of the shot less distintive

  • what state do u live in that allows silencers?

  • its probly illegal but he would deny it anyway

  • It's perfectly legal. Know your laws before accusing me of breaking any.

  • Yeah, these morons who accuse you and I of doing things that are illegal also hate the fact that we own guns and call us weak for needing a gun. Little do they know how impotent they really are... For all you gun haters.... my guns are named.... my AR-15 is named Freedom and my .45 ACP is named Liberty.

  • I currently reside in Colorado, just outside of Denver. MANY folks here own silencers, and it's a fairly easy process to apply to purchase one, though the $200 tax makes them a bit expensive.

  • im jealous....MA sucks, best i could do is LTC concealed with no restrictions.

  • That's unfortunate, I used to live in MA as well, just outside Boston. I was thrilled to move away, that LTC-A didn't really let me have the guns I wanted!

  • i can have any large capacity gun i want...just cant be fully auto untill i upgrade my ltc to machine gun.

  • why you need a silencer??

  • cause ear muffs suck when its hot outside

  • are bolt action rifles legal in ri?

  • why wouldnt they be?

    if they arent thats illegal!
