Invincibilty only works on goombas koopas bowser and etc. in SSB, SSBM , SSBB it does not damage characters, as in it only makes you invincible and it lasts for about 10 seconds.

mario relys on speed and power-ups.

Link on the other hand is stronger in strength and rely' s strategy and items.

Mario in my opinion is one of my favorite VG character.But link is my GREATEST favorite.

So mario would lose to link

Mario is a powerhouse. he breaks bricks with his mere fists. he lifts enemies that are heavier than him, right over his head!

so here's how it would go. mario would put his metal cap on, makes him 3x stronger(don't even need the strength abillity) and makes him invincible and heavier. "INVINCIBLE" so link hits him 3 times, mario picks him up. and punches him to death, you're done. that's just it.
