  • i need the recovery cd of Lenovo ThinkPad T410 who kan help me pleas 64bit pleas....

  • JUST HAVE A blue screen what did I do wrong?

  • How's the laptop thus far

  • yeah my friend just stole one of these from school... dont ask why but is there any way to remove the novel client on it without having to to a fresh windows install?

  • This thing is fast. We have these in our school. Cool, but ours lacks the camera.

  • How many dollars did that cost?

  • Yes, but Lenovo is going to be releasing the T420 very soon (once Intel gets their Sandy Bridge chipset bugs ironed out).... so at this point I'd sit tight and wait for that to be released... if nothing else you'll be able to get a T410 for less.

  • @Phaxmohdem Thanks, yeah I really want to wait for the T420, but I want to wait and see how much it will cost.

  • Would you recommend buying this laptop?

  • BUY A TRIPOD

  • Hi I was thinking about buying this laptop and I was wondering how the performance is and how the display looks? I am downgrading from a 15.4" widescreen and I am worried that the picture will be smaller on the T410.

  • @Garbagetrucks The picture is physically smaller, but the T410 has a high resolution option that runs at 1440x900. It all really depends on what resolution your current screen is capable of.

  • @Phaxmohdem Thanks, I just really want one now becuase Lenovo has a 10% coupon code on any T410 and T510.

  • Thanks for showing the keyboard. Just what I was looking for. Still looks like a good machine though.

  • sony vaio or lenovo?? which one would you buy?? in terms of quality and performance

  • @ahmetturan10 - Performance, Vaio's seem to generally perform better, particularly the Z and F series. In terms of quality, Thinkpads are built like bricks. You won't break one.

  • does this come with a recovery disk?

  • I think you forgot to mention the drain holes in the bottom of the laptop (the place where water drains out since the T410 is partially waterproof)

  • oooohhhhh =o

  • How long will the battery last if I run only word, excel, and surfing. I'm talking about the 6 cell. I'm worried the 6 cell won't be enough for my business major but I don't like how the 9 cell looks. Please replay, thanks

  • @TheLhasaBoy I get 5-6 hours of usage under that type of scenario. It lasts almost as long as my old T40p with the 9-cell battery did.

  • Does the T410 come with recovery disks?

  • @ss96124 The recovery disks come on a hidden partition on your hard drive, and it is up to you to burn them.... I wish computer makers would STOP doing this, as it is a royal PITA for the end users, makes you look cheap (especially for a "premium" laptop), and it can't cost more than a buck or two to include the figgin disc to begin with. On top of it all, I could not get my recovery disc to burn despite repeated attempts. -1 for Lenovo in this regard.

  • @Phaxmohdem How does one go about creating the recovery disks.

  • @Phaxmohdem On my T410 it's on a partition and burns as expected no problems at all, and I like that option since you can recover straight from that partition or burn extra disk at any instance.

  • @farestabs I'm glad it worked out for you (honestly). My recovery partition was borked somehow though. I'll admit it wasn't a huge loss, as the first thing I did (after creating these videos) was wipe the hard drive (and remove the recovery partition) and install a clean copy of Win 7 Pro without all the factory crapware.

  • @Phaxmohdem Oh really? ThinkPads don't come with "crapware" though the lenovo features are quite handy actually and the ones that i don't use are disabled or left to manually startup using services.msc, how long does it take your t410 to boot up? I will be posting videos of my T410 soon :)

  • Hi there, what do you think about the fan noise of the T410? I've read several reviews and they all listed this issue as a con, what do you think?

  • @ss96124 The fan doesn't really bother me that much. The laptop runs so cool to begin with that the fan hardly ever has to kick on, and it is way quieter than most other laptops I've heard. The only thing about it is that the fan noise is higher pitched than most laptops, so it might seem louder (or more annoying) than it really is. Sure a totally silent laptop would be nice, but I don't think I could list it as a con, having heard the racket that some other laptops make.

  • im running an sl510

  • Nice video! I'm considering buying one soon. But before getting it, I would like to know how the gaming looks like on this machine, especially StarCraft 2. Could it be possible to benchmark StarCraft 2 on this machine and show us the results? The beta is available as a torrent. The website "blizzardbeta" gives you details how to try the beta in single-player without a key. Thanks in advance!

  • Hi.. thanks for the review. I was just wondering if you could comment on the fan and the noise it makes... I hear that it makes a high pitched sounds which could be annoying... Is it true? How about the heat? Does the palm rest and trackpad get hot? Thanks...

  • I love this laptop, its both amazingly fast and pretty sturdy. I personally found the keyboard flex to be very minimal. My 9-cell battery, which is larger than this reviewers 6 cell, protrudes from the back but is very secure nonetheless. My only real complaint is the flexing at the palm rests, but thats easily negligible as well.

  • i have to buy get one damn it...ahhh

  • Hey there, what is that shoe doing there on 0:15sec? Lol - Oh I got mine T410 too! It's a really brilliant Notebook - Love it! Thanks again for your super review!! Keep it up!

  • Cheers!

  • I am sooooo jealous of you right now. >:)

  • me too!

  • AWSOME VID MAN

  • Thanks 4 the review!

  • The ThinkPad trackpads are so much better than most laptops. I have a Dell XPS m1530 and it doesn't compare.

  • I appreciate the video, but for next time I would like to suggest that you use a tripod and other light sources (ie desk lamp). The video became very blurry at times and it was hard to understand what you meant at those times.

    Thanks all the same

  • I'm not so sure I like the lid clasp on the lower body, and not the screen. I currently use a T60 and find it very easy to switch the clasp and open the screen in one easy motion.

  • much appreciated!

  • very good overview!! i like how you showed us the flex of the keyboard :)

  • Of course you didn't test the yellow usb port yet, you just got it!!!Duh

  • Is it just me or does it look thicker than the t400? Argh..How is the cooling? The vents look so small compared to the 400? It looks much thicker. Anyway. I love the displayport and a bunch of other ports especially the esata but i guess i'm gonna have to stick with the t400...which will probably last me FOREVER...sigh*

  • @marietta360 Most digital cameras (and other devices) use SD cards.

  • newer consumer-based DSLR's use SD cards - and the Canon 1Dmark3 uses both SD or CF.

  • Thanks man! The best videos showing off T410 on the net to date! Give us more! :)
