Thanks for uploading this video. I noticed that you had other files on the menu aside from SD-Boot. Are those required to be run beforehand? Also, just to clarify, you pull the adapter out at 0:50. How did the console read the memory card, then?
@aznp14y4 The autoexec.dol execute automaticly when i turn on the system, its the SD Loader (It's like Windows Explorer), the GCOS is for run backup disc on the system.
Can i use the SD media launcher to get save data or any action replay codes for my games cause i don't feel like unlocking the charecters for my burned games.
@conexy2k7 no, there are so many sites I couldnt find it for shit. All of the domains I found links to were for sale. I EVENTUALLY found it in mediafire, but had to download several versions of it before my cube loaded it. When I finally saw how shitty it works, I went online and bought a mod chip.
@conexy2k7 alright... thanks man... that's kinda what i thought, but it almost seemed too easy/too good to be true.... i'm going to be purchasing the SD Media Launcher for sure now.... thanks again!
mine doesnt even read the sd card when i load the app. can you please tell me whats wrong. it gives me a red bar and says something about not being able to read.
@awsomeaustin316 yes, with a SD Media Launcher or Action Replay you can, with burned mini dvd's (i recomend ridata) or inside the sd card, but i strongly recomend dvd, since a few games works good on sd card.
@cemetary665isVictor playing with SDBoot will consume more ram mading some games more slowly, but disc-less and mades your dvd drive live more longer.
@conexy2k7 I wish I could boot GCoS disc-less (not a big deal for the drive it's the lazer that f*cks up after awhile), but I lack the BBadapter for setting the net-connection to my pc (for the images). Isn't there an HDD back-up method or something easier out there?
@2pj2the2best2 you can made backups of ur games on the computer cloning the image of the disc but you can't backup ur games from wii to sd, you can use the SD Media Launcher disc to play them but people report as soon you turn on ur wii plug the sd media launcher card or it will not work, Softmod is better than hardmod.
@Thewemoth Maybe your SD Card is not working good, i recommend Kingstone (Not mini) or Sandisk (DONT USE SDHC), i use the SD Media Launcher Disc, you can buy it from odejunkies, AR Disc can be used for the same thing, just you need the application for load the menu.
@UltamitChaoBreeder SD Media Launcher makes the gamecube to run homebrew applications (3rd party aplications) like emulators, browsers, mini games and more.
It's used to be a Trainer too so you can use cheats on retail copys, it doesn't save memory.
@pillarkutless777 try what i did on the video, i unplugged the SD Adapter when he is detecting at 32mhz, and then plug the SD adapter as soon you see "Attemping 16Mhz", try that, if won't work try at 8 or 2mhz, but it will very slower, on that case i suggest you to get another kind of sd memory buy the Sandisk or Kingston
@pillarkutless777 try to get another memory sd borrow from someone first to check if it isn't your adapter the problem or the console, check if that works

did you have to modify your gamecube or burn any special type of discs?
NomadGalaga 9 months ago
@NomadGalaga SD-Boot just run any GCM or ISO on a SD Card, and not, you don't need to burn any special disc. You need 2 things:
SD Media Launcher disc + Memcard adapter that comes with the SD Media Launcher
A SD card, i recommend you the Sandisk 2gb. SDHC not compatible and some microsd are compatible.
You can buy the SD Media Launcher from Codejunkies, i don't know if they still have them but you should check it out.
