I know what you mean, I feel spoiled by the easy availability of this sort of thing. I won't mind if the system collapses so much, if we can still have the internet. Btw, did you manage to stop?
WOW! I played this in marching band back in the '78-'79 season and it has been one of my favorite songs ever since. Thanks so much for posting! My son started band a few months ago and had me teach him the main riff from this, So, it goes on!
Thanks for adding Something for Cat from BAT. I've been looking for this groovin' tune for a long time, hoping that someone would upload it to YouTube. My prayers have been answered. Thanks again.
You don't have to get it here. It is readily available on the CD "The Pink Panther and Other Hits" by Henry Mancini and His Orchestra RCAVictor 07863-55938-2. I think I got mine at Borders but it is available at Amazon. Amazing stuff. The only turkey track on the entire album is some sound effects from Hatari that should have been replaced with more music. Otherwise terrific and easily *****.
whenever i play this my cat comes into the room.
NO JOKE.

This tune is SO GROOVY!! If everybody listened to music like this, nobody would need alcohol to get laid.

My parents had some Mancini soundtracks. Thanks c969 for reminding me how great Mancini is!

Did they play this in the film at all?

Yes during the party it is in the background, presumably being played on the phonograph.

Puts me in a party mood. Wonderful use of an orchestra with lots of bongo solos and build-ups. Loved it then...love it now. Thanks Henry.
