@doomie61 I rather not make any cars then make one's that fall apart after 10 miles. French cars are crap, always have been. Some of the engines the french make now are at least a little bit more reliable, but as always the build quality is poor. I know my cars & I would never buy a french one, I can't understand why people do.
@TYPERFN2OWNER Really is that why they have none left?? and the british cant make cars take TVR and MG for example!! there made out of plastic and fall apart and if i remember correctly one did on Topgear so no they don't make and good cars anymore... the simple fact you must get in your head is that the French pioneered the hot hatch plain and simple this is why... oh atleast the french are good at F1 not that i could say the same for your shit brand Honda...
@doomie61 We have Noble, quick, good handling & quite reliable. French made the hot hatch yes, everyone else just bettered it. How is Honda shit? Good, well built, fast, good handling & very reliable (At one point they had made 15 million Vtec engines & not one had a fault). Could you say the same for any french car? F1 Renault have some success, but not the as much as McLaren, Lotus ect. Uk use to make the best car in the world RR, we sold all our car brands, which is a big shame (Aston Martin)
@scoot24925 I have, their good handling. They fall apart like all french cars, so for me that makes them shit. Read the above comments if you can dumbass.
@TYPERFN2OWNER Your clearly an idiot,i had meganes since 8 years ago andnever aproblem,i had an ep3(sure great car)but had a lotofproblems with the driveshaft, should icall it shit?and own a meganers and you'll see that they never fallapart, sure they have problems but their are faroff falling apart, and yes faster than the civics, handling is similar to a type r but for straight line speed it leaves the civic(jdm or ukdm)miles behind. dont be a mindlees fanboy, appreciate the cars for what they are
@scoot24925 Megane's are good handling cars. They won't leave anything miles behind, depends on who's driving. The newest Megane RS is quicker on paper with around 250 bhp 0 - 60 @ 6.2, but weighs over 100kg more at kerb weight. I've meet people who have FN2's that are putting out 215 bhp stock. I ain't had mine dyno tested so I don't know what mine is putting out. I can say this about mine though, I've donea few things in it that would say it's quicker than what Honda put on paper.
@scoot24925 French cars are less reliable than Jap cars. Thats been proven throughout history, that's why I don't like french cars & always tell people never to buy one. End of. A frined had a brand new 60 plate Megane as he worked for Renault. He worked their for about two years he now works for Toyota. He said Renaults now have good engines, but have problems with electrical elements in the engine & inside the car. Also the build quality ain't the best. THIS IS WHAT I SAID ABOVE.
@TYPERFN2OWNER i agree french cars especially have serious electrical issues, but you must know Renault Sport cars are way better build than Renaults, the only thing i never liked about the type r was the engine response at low rpm's,especially below 5k rpm the engine was completely unreactive,in renaultsports or other turbocharged hatches, you have all the torque in disposition at low rpm's.
@scoot24925 I wouldn't say it's that bad at low rev's. I can be going about 20mph in 3rd gear & my Type R will pull better than a 1.4L, but I get what you're saying. All I would say to that is everyone knows Honda's love to be reved high. If driving fast keep the rev's high (Which is easy) & there's no problem at all. When buying my car I looked at most Hot Hatches including the Megane. I looked at performance, reliability, space, MPG, build & styling. For me the Type R is the best all round.
@scoot24925 Especially at the time I bought my Type R only the Vauxhall VXR was quicker on paper, but for me a far worse car. Not quite as good looking, major tourqe steer, less reliable, less MPG, little less space & worse build quality. In the end I was choosing between Type R & GTi. I choose Type R because it's quicker & for me better styling. Everything else the GTi is basicaly the same. Didn't like Astra VXR or Seat. Focus ST was ok & Megane's reliability put me off. FN2 Type R for me.
@TYPERFN2OWNER if i would chose other hatches id probably go for the Golf edition 30 (230 hp) the handling is no way near as the megane but the car is reliable full time, the other hatches look dull to me,and if i had to chose on a type r again,i would chose a mugen or the FD2,best type r's,and probably last.
@scoot24925 mugen and golf are complete opposites. mugen is a track day monster, stiff and sharp as hell (the normal type-r is already sharper and stiffer than golf) so i guess mugen wouldnt suit you if your first pick would be a golf. and sorry but when we're talking about reliability honda beats vw
Must be a diferent driver to the other clips...does not know this car well..
