  • classic 80's kiss very paul-esque

and 1978soloalbums why this did not make it to a kiss album is beyond me!

  • Why this isn't on a kiss record is beyond me. Amazing song

  • The finished product is on the "Shocker" movie soundtrack. A small horror film in the early nineties directed by Wes Craven. That version is very much heavier with Desmond Child singing...

  • @jschultz1226 It is performed by Bonfire, the singer is Claus Lessmann. Both versions are great though, too bad that the Kiss version was not completed.

  • Most of this song blows.

  • Paul Stanley kicks ass, God love America and God love KISS!!!

  • I still like the version Bonfire did better, but atleast I knew KISS did it first, its the best thing Bonfire ever did.

  • One of my favorite Kiss songs ever! It's a shame that it wasn't released. Bonfire did an okay job, but it's not as good as this. BTW, the Shocker soundtrack IS worth tracking down. I did and it's in heavy rotation in my disc changer. The whole soundtrack is amazing.

  • bonfire did such a great version of this. I like kiss but i'm glad bonfire released it instead.

  • why did bonfire get this song? they could'nt even make a 1 hit wonder out of it KISS sang it in a bad recording studio and would of made a hit out of it

  • @foxyhare2001 From what I heard before that when Paul was doing the Shocker soundtrack that he offered it to Bonfire to do for the soundtrack. How true that is, I am not certain, but that's what I heard.

  • why the hell wasnt this on asylum or crazy nights when stuff like "ill fight hell to hold you was?

  • Sword and Stone, Shocker and Time Traveler were great tunes. THey should have put them on Crazy Night, fired Ron Nevison and voila - a classic rock album.

  • wasn't this song on the Shocker soundtrack?

  • @coolkarl2010 yes, but it was performed by bonfire. a much better version too.

  • This would have been awesome, had it been on the finished project/album.

  • the first seconds sound like "Burning Heart" by Survivor

  • Stanley Rock talent

  • Bonfire took the deal !

  • i need tabs, help me

  • WOW! Where did this come from? Why isn't it on an album?

  • I could've seen Paul doing this song for his solo Tour.

  • It's about time Kiss opened their vaults and gave us box set number 2, but with more unreleased stuff this time around!

  • Nothing against KISS, but I prefer Bonfire's version.

  • @NathanArnoldCharging Nothing against Bonfire but I Paul is a much better vocalist.

  • @MrDevenMichaels I definatly agree! I just happen to prefer Bonfire's version over KISS'

  • @NathanArnoldCharging see, Gene and Paulie should let me be their manager, they wouldn't have had the problems with the elder, choosing the wrong members, the wrong tunes. lol

  • @NathanArnoldCharging yeah, I prefer Angel Schleifers solo as well. I presume this is bruce kulick, it just sounds a bit like a below par Yngwie Malmsteen, the back end of the solo sounds like a straight copy of part of the solo in You Dont Remember I'll Never Forget .. actually the whole song sounds a bit like it.! Bonfire Rock! (occaisionally)

  • i love classic metan l....both bands did an awesome job

  • It's a shame that this never made it onto a KISS album. Makes no sense that a song like Bang Bang You would be used for the Crazy Nights cd instead of this.

  • I totally agree..This could have a been a single..Paul sings his heart out on that One..sames goes for TIME TRAVELLER, can't believe they didn't incude this one either..

  • the music for the start/chorus sounds like hear 'n aid "We're Stars"

  • bonfire's version is way better. this song just doesn't sound like kiss

  • agree...so this means that bonfire version is just a cover? OMG

  • @abney20 DEMO VERSION, of course it isn't all produced.

  • sounds like a song you can work out to, then go battle your enemy and come out victorious with wind in your hair and chicks all over you. muscles gleaming from all the sweat. you are ruler of the earth. wearing animal fur as a skirt.

  • I see you've had time to think about that, lol.

    I also agree!!

  • @whitecloud1980 awesome descript

  • lol, i could see this song being used in a He-Man Commercial. LOL

  • @whitecloud1980 Don't forget the leather vest. EVER!!

  • Granted this is just a Demo...I'd Like to hear this with slicked up production. Whoever produced and engineered the Bonfire version did a helluva job.

  • Bonfire version much better!!!

  • fuck ! better than bonfire version !

  • This song I dare to say is somewaht un-kiss, it had been a diferent math in musical direction, sounds interesting indeed, but more mainstrem, similar to so called hair metal at the time. But very interesting anyway. A kiss veteran until make up came on again

  • Bonfires version is better? PLEAAAASSEEE!! It's A Paul Stanley composition.. So Sad that this was never recorded for a Kiss album.. release the demo officially already!!!

  • is this song from a movie from the 80's?

  • Yes it is...but covered by a different band. Bonfire did the song for Wes Craven's Horror Movie Shocker.

  • This song was twice relased in 1989 - by Paul Dean of Loverboy on his solo album "Hard Core" and by Bonfire on the "Shocker" soundtrack. Bonfire's version is very close to Kiss' - very cool but too metal for mass pop consumption in the late '80s. But Paul Dean's version is much more commercially viable. Had Kiss released the song Paul's way, I very strongly believe it would have been a big hit for them.

  • good song i agree should be released

  • In the warrior's code there's no surrender...

    Sounds like Survivor. Waaayyyyy 80's

  • Better than sounding like Psycho Circus..also better than any of that 90's GRUNGE shit.

  • I have no problem with it sounding '80s, just it really sounds like survivor. BTW thanx for commenting, I forgot about this already. For what it's worth I do like the song.

  • no ace no spaceman, no ace and peter no kiss

  • Ace is better SOLO his new album will kick ass !

  • Great song, KISS (or Paul Solo) should have released it, threw it on a soundtrack or something.

  • I, too, love this song and think it should have been released by Kiss.

However, I'm thinking that this song would have fit better on The Elder. And if that be the case, you can understand why Kiss would be weary about releasing it.

    Just my take....

  • I remember walking into the movie for Shocker and hearing "The Dudes of Wrath" thinking "That sounds like Paul Stanley." He should have recorded this and maybe even did "Timeless Love" as a duet with Saraya. That would have been classic.

  • it's a great song, but I can kind of understand why Paul wouldn't want Kiss to do it. It's just not in their style - reminds me of I've Had Enough from Animalize, which isn't a very Kiss-ish song at all. IMO.

  • "I've Had Enough" IMO is a great, great song and it fits with the Kiss heavy metal years.

  • So how did Bonfire end up doing this?

  • Paul Stanley worked on the shocker sound track as did bonfire, maybe sold it to whoever and bonfire released it???

  • This Song Rocks it Would of been a number 1 song.

  • i really like this song. good solo from Bruce.

  • forgot to say, this song is hit material. they were crazy to not release this. they need an unreleased material cd, now!

  • awesome-ass song! the verse part is so cool. paul stanley's voice makes this better than bonfires's. their version is nearly identical anyway, just less apparent keyboards.

  • Although this is a good version, I like Bonfire's better. Bonfire blended a heavy edge with a hard rock style.

  • ONE OF THE BEST HARD ROCK SONGS!

    KISS rule!!

As it did almost everything in the 80s!!!

  • this song is so awesome.

  • I love this song. It sounds like many of the

    songs on "Crazy Nights."

  • Can you please send me this song!

  • Where can i download this song????!!!!!!!!! IT ROCKS!

  • Fuckin kick-ass song!
