no way! ableton is very stable if u use their own effects and synths etc. ONLY when u start using third party plugins will u see an increased use of your computers cpu and you can't blame ableton for poor third party programming. It would cause any sequencer (logic Cubase) to struggle...

@djmarcatkins01 i know what yr sayin, but even when u start using Lives's own synths n stuff it can slow things down. I use ableton live 8 all the time and as a dj its changed a lot of things for me but i think im gonna use it for sequencing and stuff then move it to another platform to master it. u got a myspace or soundcloud??
