I must admit the second part of the guitar solo was better than I thought Morello was capable of (I thought he could only make funny noises on a guitar) but nowhere as good as the original, in which Eddie Hazel was completely playing like there was no tomorrow... Morello hasnt got that much groove as Eddie. And no one has for that matter..

Personally, I'm tired of Tom Morello's "gimmick". I was tired of by the time of Rage's second cd. First time out, it was interesting. Next time out it's gimmicky. This version cannot compare in any way, shape or form with the original. Maybe because I've been listening to Funkadelic's version for almost 37 years. Just the way Eddie Hazel just blazes that thing ALL THE WAY to the end. It makes me wonder how much more occurred after it faded out. We'll never know.

It is hard to play a song which belongs to musical geniuses like Eddie Hazel and the funkadelic but they are doing a pretty good job. Have to say, Morello is technically probably the best guitarist in the world. I am not into it so much myself but a great guitarist, with a great style.
