just want to make sure, I got a Sony 24EX320 (24") with a 200x100 pattern (Vesa E its called I believe) the LX arms are made for 100x100 (Vesa D) but if I use your bracket adaptor kit, I can still use my Sony screen for the LX right?
1:03 how is the base secured in place because 1:08 doesn't make sense. that silver clamp piece that screws on underneath the desk is smaller than the opening in the desk. what say you?
@strobe9 Sorry about the ambiguity. The opening in the desk and the silver bracket are both (more or less) rectangles. Turn the bracket perpendicular to the opening to form a cross--there is now plenty of surface for the bracket to grab.
Do I have to take out the rubbers in the four holes at the back of my monitor in order to mount it on? My monitor is LCD LED backlit 24in VE247H, would it fit on this mount? I ordered before asking these questions lol
@masses686 The ASUS VE247H monitor will definitely work with this mount. Here is the information we have about your display in our database: "100 x 100 mm VESA mounting hole pattern, 9.7 lbs in weight; remove pedestal stand and attach Ergotron mounting solution with fasteners from display." Beyond that you will need to refer to your display's user guide.
@NoxSec No. Attachment through a hole in the worksurface is only an option. The arm comes with both a Grommet Mount and a Desk Clamp. To attach the arm at the edge of a worksurface, you can use the clamp option.
I just bought this for my cintiq but the arm keeps coming down, like if the cinitq is too heavy for the arm. Is there way to secure it into position?
@MrZeJohn If your display is the right weight and has a VESA hole pattern on the back, it is compatible. And good news: your Dell monitor will work with the LX Arm.
@PeterBZ Hi Peter. Before you give up, check your monitor's manual. Sometimes the mounting holes are hidden under the display's base--when you remove the base, they may be revealed. Also, manufacturers will sometimes offer an adapter bracket if a display is not VESA compliant (i.e., the display doesn't have four holes). If you tell me the make/model of your display, I can check if it will work.
@jimlamb Hi Jim. The plate covers the entire hole, so you cannot run cables through the grommet hole. Sorry about that. Hope you can find a solution to fit your needs. Thanks!
hellow Ergotron!,

Can the pivot points be tightened or locked so the monitor can't move from a set position?
MisterSHTL 4 months ago
@MisterSHTL The arm's lateral rotation points can be tightened but not locked.

Good video, to understand how it works. But....you should add some explanation and sound to it ;-)

I looked at the back of my own monitor and it doesn't have 4 holes. Is this arm only fit for certain monitors?

Fully extended, the distance from the rear of the base to the back of the monitor is about 25.5" (65 cm). Thanks for the interest.

What's the maximum length this can stretch out to?

Does the grommet mount leave any gap to run wires up through the grommet hole?
