Is it your point then that the Bible ripped off the 'emerald tablets'? So that makes the Bible a fraud in what it claims about Jesus and just about everything else, as it claims to be the very word of GOD, inspired in men by the Holy Spirit. The emerald tablets were written around 36,000bc by Thoth they are a truly wonderous set of writings, much like the true bible was before the 40odd books were removed from it by various people. If you wanted to read them I would be happy to send you a copy. I understand you are happy in your beliefs and by no means want to change that as happiness is the one thing there is not enough of in this world :) i'm always happy. planexzeropoint - sorry for delay...this means that most anyone could come along and produce a book and say it's historical fact based on ancient texts that are lost/no longer exist/were hidden/stolen etc. But, if they have no evidence to verify it, like the Mormons, then what? The net effect is that people are steered away form the truth (singular) and give heed to spurious doctrines. So then, in such a climate, anything goes and the truth is buried somewhere among it all - hopeless. Peace.
