  • BY THE WAY, take a peek at "the double slit experiment" by Dr. Quantum.

  • Everyone has ideas about why are we're. And some of us think, "Is this real?" I don't think we should judge what happens in the end. Religion is escape... which is fine. Anything you believe is fine, because you're living within your OWN perception, borrowing from others' opinions and creating your own definition of how the world 'really is supposed to be'

  • There really is no right or wrongs... everything is based on opinions. So maybe... this comment is a waste of time.... but it shares an idea... And maybe sharing this idea is a waste of time... because it adds in another opinion... which adds to the confusion. But then... It opens our minds... different opinions = different thinking.

  • LOL AT THE I WONDER if i could pass for an italian!!

  • Row Row Row your boat,

    Life is but a dream.

  • A Quote that I created and wrote that will make you think.

    Enjoy my quote below:

"Always question you're reality, for all you know that reality might not be reality at all."

Quote created and quoted by freedomfighterguy1 an activist from Sarnia, Ontario, Canada.

  • and..does our soul pass on when we die.. or does it stay in our bodies as long as our nature lives should have existed..

  • Did anybody else notice the deja vu glitches? definitely code being rewritten here. :)

  • Theoretically of course. There's no way to prove this is real or dream or simulated. If this is all simulated, do we just... die when we die, or start a new simulation?

  • I think we live in a simulation. Through years of training lucid dreaming I've come to realise that the dream world is just as real as the physical world and in some cases it is even more real and makes even more logical sense. This is only possible if we live in a simulation, the fact that my senses can be stimulated in the same way is in the "real" world in a non real envirement prove that it is absolutely possible for such simulation to exist.

  • @fmgaluda I appreciate your perspective, thanks for sharing!

  • @fmgaluda how does one train themself in the art of lucid dreaming?

  • The problem is this question should not be asked. It is evident that we are in a matrix. The regular problem is Identifying the engineer (point A). If you know you did not create yourself and environment, the logical endeavor is to search for your creator/Truth with your consciousness without giving up, or jumping to conclusions. Faith is a byproduct of consciousness, in which man has not had his increase in yet. Even in themovie theMatrix, they did not solve the mystery of their regular reality

  • @StarApostle Thanks for the feedback :)

  • Insightful video. Perhaps I will read Russell, but I long ago came to similar conclusions: everything we know is just a complex set of assumptions that we deem verified by our experiences and redundancy (deduction). I believe these epistemic problems are irresolvable, so I don't try to work around them. While I believe in an objective, causal, an d generally reliable reality, I do not attempt to make statements of fact regarding it. Btw, I'm enjoying the (health) videos. Keep them up.

  • @networkedfreedom Thanks for the feedback I also believe these epistemic problems are irresolvable but I think exploring them is probably a healthy thing to do. I appreciate your perspective.

  • I don't need faith that my surroundings are real because it doesn't matter. Whether they're real or I'm a brain in a vat, the only way I can take advantage of what I perceive is to treat them as real. Since I can't tell the difference and no behavior on my part can make a difference, it doesn't matter what the true nature of my world might really be.

  • @Chuck1863 Are you practicing faith in believing that faith is unneeded and that the truth regarding the reality of your surroundings is inconsequential? ;) Perhaps you dislike the word faith because of some of it's negative connotations. If that is the case, I can empathize with you.

  • @bookconsumption Since I can directly experience my own thoughts, I don't need faith to know what they are.

  • @Chuck1863 I think for the basic reception of sense data, no belief is needed BUT, undoubtedly, for the unavoidable interpretation of that sense data you will be functioning out of a framework of belief which cannot be proven. This could be a subconscious belief regarding the sense data's reality or a more specific belief regarding it's particular nature.

  • @bookconsumption I treat my surroundings as though they're real because I find it useful to do so, not because I believe that they must be real.

Are subconscious beliefs really MY beliefs? How can I believe something if I'm not even aware of it?

  • Fair enough, you believe in the pragmatism of supposing reality -as do I. In regards to your questions, I suppose that depends on what you believe about yourself. Are you only your choices or are you also the choices of others -the result of other forces and entities? If you are more than your own agency I see no reason to believe why your subconcious is not a part of you. By extension I see no reason to believe why your subconcious beliefs could not be your beliefs.

  • @bookconsumption I think it' likely that my beliefs, desires, and choices that make me who I am. I don't know what else there could be. My environment seems to have created me unless I have some uncaused components. I don't know about that.

It seems absurd that I could have beliefs that I don't know about. How can I think something is true if I know nothing about it?

  • @Chuck1863 Interesting perspective, would you say then that you are only your own concious thoughts or are you also the agreement of some 50 to 100 trillion cells. Are your thoughts a product of this agreement?

  • @bookconsumption There're probably a great many things going on in my brain that cause me to be who I am. It's the same for the rest of my body and my immediate environment. But I wouldn't call the information in any of those systems my beliefs. I need not know about everything that affects me.

  • @Chuck1863 Fair enough.

  • But why certain people coming forward to this video is this type of subject really needed to be debated here to feed peoples hunger.

  • Matrix to some extent.... yes. If this is a temporary state of life and we are a part of physical world not fully aware of spiritual reality.

There are however things certain. One of this is: I think therefore I am. Next one is: If reality(matrix) exist then creator(designer) of me and this reality must exists.

  • If you open your eyes and ears and live your life for a while then you will get faith, intuition, knowledge, courage, love and all that is good. Eventually we will prove the existence of higher powers scientifically. For now you must use your senses, mind and heart. For these are the most sensitive instruments we have today.

  • You know Michael Arnstein thefruitariandotcom has said that he feels that the people going through life addicted to processed food and fat are living in the matrix not even aware of their addiction that if you stop to think about it doesn't make any sense as momentary pleasures are destroying their body. I can relate to that. It is a constant struggle, for me at least, to not be pulled back in.

  • @joe6dotcom Righto that's an interesting take on this conversation Joe: that our own apathy, lack of awareness, and poor health can be a kind of self-created matrix. I like the direction you went with this -thanks for sharing :)

  • I used to disbelieve ALL faith, because it seemed that the people that had it the most were also the people who needed it the most, i.e. sick, elderly, or people who were just dealt a really crappy hand in life. Since then though, I've had an experience that I would consider out of the ordinary (at least for me), which leads me to believe that I just don't REALLY know anything, and my assumptions are unjust at best. Now I do have faith, even if it doesn't necessarily make 'sense' to do so.

  • “Faith is the assured expectation of things hoped for, the evident demonstration of realities though not beheld.” (Heb 11:1) This is the Bible's definition of faith. I believe we should build faith based on evidence and not so called "blind faith".

  • @sfull006 Actually this verse is not the Biblical definition of faith. It is a description of what faith does.Substance means "essence" or "reality". Faith treats things hoped for as reality. Evidence means "proof" or "conviction". Faith itself proves that what is unseen is real. Such as believers reward at the return of Christ. The Biblical word for faith is "pistos" which is akin to certainty and verification. "Pistas" is more akin to blind faith as for the etymology.

  • @MayonR I'm not totally clear what point you're trying to make. "Faith itself proves that what is unseen is real." So if I have faith in evolution, that means it's real? If I decide to have faith in fairies does that make them real? The verse is very clear. Faith is... not faith does. If this were an explanation of what faith does I'm sure there would be more verbs afterward. ehh?

  • @sfull006 [[not totally clear what point you're trying to make. "Faith itself proves that what is unseen is real."]] The very next verse explains that when it refers to the Elders kind of faith. Not blind faith but it might be better understood as faithfulness in many points. Like Noah and his faith of the warnings that hadn't occurred yet and the faithfulness of Enoch and Abel. Not evo or fairies, lol.

  • @sfull006 Also if you look at a middle english dictionary or any good research dictionary you might see what is meant by faith except for the last 200 years.

  • @sfull006 And this is the NKJV "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." I believe you are using the Jehovah's Witness translation if I am not mistaken. Just fyi to clear up any confusion in the different translations regarding my explanation.

  • Yes, but there is not only "the matrix", formed by the media, culture and other influences on humanity as a group, but everyone lives in a matrix of his individual perception. Concerning faith - it's a matter of definition. Faith could be motivation, trust, piety, persistence,...

  • i don't like this video, because is asking such broad questions. most people don't have the capacity to stay on the subject not even on very specific questions. and, youtube, by it's nature, is not a place for writing 200 pages essays. never the less, these are good questions, and deserve the search for answers.

  • @CumSeNumesteMelodia I believe he did a good job describing Foundationalism. Foundationalism justify's the rationality of not siding with questions like " Were we created five minutes ago, with our environment given and appearance of age and giving us perceptions of experience?" or " are we in the matrix".

  • @CumSeNumesteMelodia thanks for your feedback :) -I enjoy learning from all the opinions and perspectives a video like this seems to generate :)

  • *leads me to believe -is the reason why- some people fearfully...

  • We need some sort of concreteness in our minds, even though all before us is a manifestation of them. In that we probably do need faith, because in order to get from point A to point B wherever you are or whatever you are doing in the world, you need to believe point B is there in some regard. It is this particular frame of mind that leads me to believe some people fearfully grasp on their religion. I think all religion is futile and can be counterproductive for easing suffering in the world.

  • @lolitaglitter Hey thanks for the feedback it's great to hear your perspective :) -Usually I stick to health related things but it's nice to throw something like this out there once in a while. And it's great learning from everyone's input :)

  • @bookconsumption I think subjects like this are fascinating, especially getting other's p.o.v.'s on it. You can see so much not only from a new perspective but on the person from a psychological perspective. I plan to read the book you recommended. Keep it up :)

  • @lolitaglitter Thanks :)

  • Faith is necessary, not only to leave ur house, but also necessary, for the advancement of mankind.

    - When we drive, the only thing separating us, and certain death, is a dotted yellow line on the road. Faith, that our fellow motorists will remain within their lane, is all we have as evidence that we will not crash.

    - Edison had faith that he can harness energy, into light, and that faith was tested over 9000 times.

Every decision we make requires a degree of faith, even for the atheist.

  • Some centuries old buddhist sutra (that sutra allegedly sourced from even millenium older ancient hindu sutra) tells that this our reality is very holographic etc stuffs. Just FYI.

  • @Nairuulagch And the basic principles or phylosophies in that sutra is very close to current matrix related scifi.

  • @Nairuulagch That's pretty cool :) thanks for sharing.

  • @bookconsumption Google Nagarjuna and hopefully you'll plunge into millenuim older philosophy version of Matrix scifi.
