  • I can't catch guitar rhythm omg!

  • Fuck politics, it's meaningless anyway.

  • Haunting.

  • @solutreansocialclub Preserving itself, from none other than itself.

  • ritual temple 1st song after Mozart. :-)

  • It's so funny how this artist is loved and hated by both far-right and far-left, depending how much they actually know about it. I don't blame ignorant people getting confused about an openly homosexual man who has done successful concerts in Israel to a mainly Jewish audience, but also uses lots of NS imagery and has written lyrics that could kinda be fascist if that's how you decide to look at them. Btw, can't fucking wait to see them live this year! :o

  • @VICITVIR ...hear hear! Or here, here! Lisbon Calling!

  • @VICITVIR if you aren't hated by both sides you aren't saying anything worthwhile

  • @VICITVIR I think Douglas claimed to be influenced by the Strassers politically at one point, joking or not I don't know. Otto Strasser envisioned a Jewish 'national minority' and thought Zionism should be supported because it is another nationalist movement.

  • When I read comments about DIJ, I think there is a real problem of translation with the intentions of this band. Look at the lyrics, listen to this music, how can you believe this band is pro-nazi or does the apology of atheism ? You are projecting your fear, your hate, your problems, but it 's not their words or their songs.

  • @amevolution he's definitely had a crush for the 3rd reich. not a big issue, indeed, but that's what you got

  • whats the statue on the album cover

  • DISCriminate!!! Cause Things are different.

  • Trolllllllling all round

  • @XSUPERIORBLACKMANx : Sieg Hiel! Hail Africa!

  • &XSUPERIORBLACKMANx

  • God is dead. I feel fine.

  • woah look at all these comments

The song is beautiful and that is all to it

Forget politics or who the artist that made this song is

Art can stand on its on without any reason to be

  • Great Band. Listening to them since 1984. Really influential in an understated way.

Anyways, the only similarities that Douglas Pierce has with the Third Reich is that he is as gay as Ernst Rohm was. There's where it ends. DIJ's music is about despair and compassion. It's simply delusional to think this type of music, symbology, and message can be construed as fascist. It's just art and commentary....and a couple of soft fags who have never been hungry in their lives playing dress-up.

  • that lyrics.. awesome

  • neofolk fans = easy to troll

  • When 4chan started to troll the black sub-animal/untermench Souljaboy... black boys started to cry on video cams

    eat dat Waddymelon!

  • I like the fact that they refuse to make clear statements- mainly because it ties SWP fellow travellers up in knots trying to interpret what they "really" mean. You want to know Douglas P's politics? Listen to Red Brigades- "Urban terrorism is no substitute for the building of a revolutionary working class party." Can't get clearer than that, can we?

  • Only as deep as the wavelength of a dogwhistle

  • death in june rocks!!!!!!!!!!!

  • DIJ, racists ? Nonsense.

Just have a look at their history and former bands, before telling bullshits.

  • Very talented project and I listen to other neo-folk/pagan groups like Sol Invictus and Forseti, but some of the imagery is misleading, the majority of elements being true to thier ancestral roots and to the pagan ambience but some others seem a little leaning to Nazism. The skull and bones symbol, for example, only traces back to the 3rd SS Division Totenkopf and the Kampfgeschwader 54 bomber wing, and solely used as pretty much a war symbol for the fascist regime.

  • @Heathenlegions The totenkopf symbol, which is what those skull and bones are, date back to the armies under Frederick the Great, in the 18th century.

Douglas says himself that it is meant as a symbol of death and does not refer to one specifik usage of the symbol, as is with most of his imagery.

  • @Heathenlegions So what? Many people admire Fascism instead of this Liberal crap at least they had codes of honors and valors that they folow what people have know coca cola ant TV?

Tthat said many symbols have far more meaning before Fascism even rise Totenkopf existed before NS in Germany! It was used by Prussian Elite Military Units! Going back to Ancestral Roots and Pagan ambient is what many nationalistic and "fascist" writers defended

  • Please anyone tell me what is the name of the man or sculpture displayed on this video? please!

  • Death in June is an example of how political stance (and sexual) by artists may impair their artistic merit. They are victims of their own shock politics effect of nazi, fascist and military imagery use. You must be very strong to use these kind of imagery in your advantage otherwise you fall victim to it as is the case of DIJ (the opposite is the case of an artist like Anselm Kiefer that has used it very successfully). They have great songs like this one but their image ruins everything.

  • @MrFpenteado There's no "political stance" involved in the music at all, just imagery. And the only negative effect the imagery has is to significantly reduce DIJ's potential audience, which presumably doesn't trouble Douglas P. a whole lot, so who cares?

  • @MrFpenteado

yeah very true. Anselm kiefer is a fantastic artist.

I dont know DIJ well, but it's hard to see past the imagery, on first look, as I am doing now. after all, he is wearing SS camo always

  • When life is but disappointment

    And nothing is amusing

    The one wild hunt

    For loneliness

    Is a life without god

    Is an end without love

    Soulless today

    And soulless tomorrow

  • As Maxim Gorky once said, "do away with homosexuality and there will be no fascism"

  • Comment removed

  • This is for real a national bolshevist group?

  • @NSshalukeUnlikeNazi isnt that a`banned russian politiKill party/group? di6 is britisH .......

  • @ADOADO481

    I dont know?

  • Yeah that's pretty much how I fuckin feel right about now. :(

  • just beautiful

  • nice song.

  • <but what ends when the symbols shatter?

    We see it today

  • @DWDBL

    The death of the West.

  • bravo!!!

  • Wasn't one of the guys in the Death in June a fagot ? So he was a fag with nazi sympathies....LOL. But the music is great anyway.

  • @Dasein512 they're all fagots. I really don't care Douglas P is faggot, I am fan his music and not his sexuality.

  • @Dasein512 Most Nazi's are fags. The guy who headed the Sturmabteilung for one. And yeah Douglass P. is too. People are strange eh?

  • @mkultra2300

Douglass never said to be nationalsocialist.

    Being EUROPEIST is not NS.

Ok, NS takes a large piece of Europeism but is mainly different.

And being gay is not really a crime in NS/Europeism. We don't like gays who act as female but we are not against gays who are proud to be men. Look at the origin of the roman empire and you'll find our answer ;)

  • @HarderThanOthers Europeism eh? I dunno mang I just like the music. No problem with gays either, just hypocrisy. Irony is ok though.

  • @mkultra2300

    Learn to spell, fucktard.

  • @beowulven what's mispelled? Nazi-Faggot?

  • @mkultra2300 Haha, you misspelled the word 'misspelled'.

Oh, if you don't like gay musicians, you better not listen to Queen, Judas Priest, Clay Aiken, Soft Cell, Faith No More, Elton John, Liberace, Little Richard, The Magnetic Fields, Hüsker Dü, David Bowie, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Sigur Rós, Bay City Rollers, Alan Parsons Project, and a ton of others.

  • @Exitof99 doh!... and no I don't dislike gay musicians. Besides since when has Clay Aiken been gay? He's all man. Frankie Goes to Hollywood also not gay, just an image to sell records, they clearly love poontang. Check out the original video to "Relax", full of nothing but heterosexual innuendo. Next you're going to claim Liberace was gay or sumfing

  • @mkultra2300 Hahah. I laughed out loud.

  • @Exitof99 oh shit you did.... not Liberace! My world is shattered along with its symbols.

  • que cancion mas guapa para este grupo flipas ya!!!!!

  • Really love them

  • Rodeo of perspectives; Ride the chimerical bull, or get crushed by its hooves. It's all a matter of your own dilettante swing of opinion.

  • even if he does have nazi sympathies, why is that such a threat? let's be honest- 98% of people in the US and most other Western nations are repulsed by Naziism. The chances of Nazis ever rising to significant power again in Germany is slim to none. It's all just shock factor now and a few loose cannons.

  • @evgad87 That's an interesting point. I'm a big DIJ fan, but I sometimes feel a little put off by the subject matter. I guess I think more of the suffering from that era and I hate the thought of that being glorified in any way. But as to worry about perpetuating nazism in this day and age, I doubt there any need to feel concern.

  • @evgad87 The fear lingers on for several reasons. 1) darwin was right, evolution happened, survival of the fittest is the name of the game and most people don't like the fact that they are unfit. 2) Communists hate hitler because they, according to their bizarre religion, believed that no such man could have ever emerged due to his economic background, yet he did.

  • Dont care if they are rascists or not. If u believe so ...don't buy their Cd's, or T-shirt . Si atat. Futu-va-n gura de comunisti.

  • I hate people try to change the original meaning of a word. Racism is act or belief of discrimination towards a race or races.

  • @ScotteDio Yes but it doesn't exactly attack it either.

The people who push this humanist idea are just another group adhere to moral absolutism, and in many ways is simply the result of the masses not ready to let go of the comfort zone religion gave them.

When you seperate infallible authority from morality, morality becomes subjective and the world bursts into chaos. The only law being 'survive'.

'racism' is at home in a world of brutal survivalism.

  • @ScotteDio Right, only when white people do it. When Jews, blacks or mooslums do it, then it is NEVER racism. Bullshit, racism is a propaganda word, nothing else.

  • @jbravo41 you should first learn that this bend is using symbols/nazi or whatever/ to say in "subversion" that its all the same and that all autoritarian, extreme, shit sucks-but obviesly you dont even know what subversion means! b.t.w.-DEATH TO THE WEST!

  • @TheZeleni03 Sure, I guess you will enjoy Sharia law in Denmark soon.

  • @jbravo41 you are so wrong fuckn nazi!...Yes actually I would not mind...Fuck denmark,west,us.a. and jews imperialism.Rather Ahmad&Nedjad & all supressed people on the planet! Ouu,I congratulate-you were not that far anyhow,or you are still young?!!? "I UNDERSTAND IT,BUT I DONT RECOMAND IT"!!!!!!!!!!

  • @jbravo41 viva Ahmad&Nejad + "I UNDERSTAND IT BUT I DONT RECOMAND IT"!!! YOU NAZI PIG!

  • @TheZeleni03 Learn to spell you fucking Mooslum retard inbred freak. The reason why Mooslum fucks like u are in Denmark and Europe is because of the JEWS and their cronies in the US. Ahmadinejad is by the way a friend of National Socialism, so I guess calling people Nazi AND hailing Ahmadinejad is kinda stupid. But I suggest you go and make love to your mother or a donkey, the only cultural contribution you subhumans are capable of.

  • @ScotteDio:

and I dont like it if people make their populistic opinion to the absolutly truth.

fact is: in science you make differences between at least 4 different kinds of racism!

and the discrimination aspect is only ONE kind. there exist also "positivistic racism". for example if you say: "russians are good in math". you are using a stereotype. an other (more "neutral") racism is: if you only say there are DIFFERENCE between races (unimportant if in a good or bad way).

  • @enesdeape stereotypes are base on generalizations: which means foundational element of logic and one or more common characeristics. Russians are coldblood killers, pimping Russian women in the USA, and helpTaliban by buying heroine. Racism is base one 'race'!

  • @ScotteDio:

but there are definitions that only the using of stereotypes is allready a kind of racism (if used according to the difference of races). than take instead of russians africans.

My ex-girlfriend is african. she says that africans in general are unreliable and lazy. (this is a sterotype). but if I would say the same, I would be called a racist!

(and accounding to one specific definition I really would be a "racist".) and that although I got a black girlfriend. racism must not be hate

  • @enesdeape HINT: It's racist if a black girl says it too.

  • @hebesphenomegacorona give me a favour and start to think for yourself, black red blue who cares?

  • @enesdeape Just goes to show that ignorance is everywhere, doesn't it?

  • @ScotteDio Not really, the Wikipedia definition is surprisingly good, though - see:

"Racism is the belief that there are inherent differences in people's traits and capacities that are entirely due to their race."

It does not necessarily implies any hate or idea of inferiority/superiority by definition.

  • @ScotteDio

    This is not true.

Racism is the thought that the behavior or abilities are predetermined by the "race". There are considerations about superiority/inferiority very often. Though this does not include discrimination, which is an act.

  • dear everybody. just listen and fucking chill out

  • Comment removed

  • you know who ia racist? who cannot acept ideas that come from other ppl...so before saying you are a nazi, think about yourself...child.

  • I suggest you look up the definition of the word "racist", my friend. Failure to accept other people's opinions may be ignorant, but certainly not racist.

  • @RitchieBrinckmore i know what racist mean, but for me is being racist also when someone cannot acept the ideas of others ppl...ye maybe is not the right definition, or the right meaning, but i like it :D

  • My definition of racist is somebody who's made out of candy. That's not particularly useful in conversation, though, is it?

The meaning of a word is in the grey area between it's official definition and it's common usage. You can't just go 'Oh, it'd be nicer if word X meant Y' and expect people to understand you.

  • @Rhademanthus m8 this is just a point of view, and this is youtube, reality is much deffirent, a real speech is much different, do not care about definition or something else, is just a different point of view...worlds are not X or Y, are A.B,C and so on... :D

  • do you suffer from mental retardation ?

  • @doctorpwnage ye maybe...rofl

  • He is NOT a Nazi. Do your fucking research child

  • @zachariahz Did the research. You're wrong. Thanks for trying.

  • You are 100% incorrect.

  • ironically, death in june has made some wonderful songs. this one, and fall apart are my favorites. but he's a gay nazi! and i'm not. goes to show music can really cross boundries.

  • @meccarian hahhaa

  • this should be THE anthem for the new age of atheism !! these lyrics are greater then great..5*****

  • @EternalAttack1428

Indeed. Anthem for all atheists. Love the tranquillity in this song. Excellent .

    hs

  • You must be kidding me, anthem for atheists? The lyrics are definitely pessimistic, the proclamation of death of God doesn't lead to any constructive conclusion. It is not an anthem for anyone - maybe for nihilists...

  • @ttinwelint cool analysis, maybe the only coherent comment 'bout this video.

  • @ttinwelint I assure I'm not talking about "anthem for atheist"

don't you think these lyrics are against "sacrality" (in religion or in human life in general) of life, or maybe its absolute importance over any other thing? More than nihilism, I would say parification of roles for each thing in the world and in the universe. No change happens, not no thing exists.

  • This song is so beautiful. It has nothing to do with a religious sermon. It is about the destruction of a country

  • Uh, I highly doubt that.

  • paroxistic/cathartic experience of sorrow, thumbs up for Doug.'s lyrics & music ov course.

  • absolutely beautiful!

  • This song is so sadly true... one of the best.

  • its just perfect.....

  • easily my favourite Di6 song

  • Comment removed

  • For me,its the best song of DiJ..a brilliant Pearl in Neofolk...but in all Neofolk Vocalistic work...Dont fade away fronmDead can Dance is the most beautiful, amazing song i ever heard ♥

  • I'm Italian, and I personally think that music like this has never been made in my country. Atmospheres like these always help me focusing my mind on what I really want in my life. 5 stars and favourited

  • @RobertaJulia

No there are Italian neofolk bands...check out Spiritual Front, though you probably already know them if you like this sort of music.

  • I think the people that like to rip on Di6 are the people who want everything in a nice little box. So anything that defies conventional definitions of art or politics both frightens and offends them. Sad, really.

  • like in bathorys first albums...i like dissonance

  • oh god.. ok there are some people who claim dij are somewhat into that shit. ok.. i can udnerstand that people, maybe its true.

but if this man is a mindfucked fag or not - his music is wonderful.. his music has never been open propaganda. if some people see racist messages deep within them than thats ok.. but is it because of that forbidden to listen to it? man man man man man -.-

  • @amarok79

    Godsakes, this.

  • @amarok79 Gods*, you mean.

  • fantastic song!

  • hahaha again the old discussion... all songs that got something to do with folklore unleash the pricks who noone listened to and who want that everyone can read their opinion. a tip: get facebook.

    kiddies.

  • Fantastic album. Probably one of the best I've heard.

  • why cant you just listen to this pearl of neofolk music? this band is beside me since so many years..i will never miss their songs...their messages..this feeling you feel then

    ..5*

  • I'm not even going to bother reading those comments below, but stop spamming.... listen, shut up and die alone....

  • ...the absolute masterpiece of D.I.J....

  • I know all about kali yuga..its been upon us for a long time..When it ends..Maybe we wont need lsd to trip..haha!

  • who will die, won't see

  • Oh man. I love these lyrics.

  • Finally found a copy of this album, it's incredible!

  • NOTE:

The swastika was never originally a racist symbol. It has existed in europe for atleast 8000 years.

  • Hmmm... not racist, but I would say it was most central to those races and societies which were of a decidedly "northern" quality, as it is undoubtedly a solar symbol. The Indo-Europeans, and Syno-Tibetan peoples seem to be the best representatives of this "northern light".

  • In india too

  • Of course in India- perhaps in India most of all!

Beware- the Kali Yuga is upon us!

  • "Racist" the anti-racism is just as harmful as the overdone racism of the 20th century. It kills all races and cultures.

  • Racism is stupid. But not all cultures think alike and even thats a generalization i know. But you'd have to be a fool want to be treated equal and consistently separate yourselves with people of your race.

  • I heartily agree!

  • Comment removed

  • True Asmodeus. But some fucks will never want to figure that out really. They simply don't want to hear that, regardless if it's true. See, racism serves some psychological function - just as religion, so it will never really cease to exist. For all people who have no merits of their own to be proud of, they still can look down and feel superior to some abstract groups. It makes the mediocre feel a little better - that's all. (I'd remove your comment from spam flag if I'd figure out how...)

  • no I would say that anti-racism is fine

  • eccellente!

  • I love that "helicopter" type of sample he used at the beginning. It could be a "galloping horses" sample also. I love this tune... one of my top favourites.

  • ...and who knows what happens to hearts?

  • excellent neofolk anthem.

  • The tears rolls down my face each time I hear this song...Douglas Pearce touch directly the heart with his song...agree with you hobartia, must of the people should understand why the name of the band is Death In June, and why Pearce uses the totentanz...if they re intelligent, they will understand everything, and that Pearce is not a fucking racialist. He just talks about love in his songs

  • pure meloncholy...this is extacy for death.

  • ich liebe dieses lied.

  • It's hard for me to believe that anyone can believe Pearce is a racialist.

  • Yeah, I guess most people are pretty superficial.

  • the KU & the KA ...perhaps derived from Egypt (& noted in 777)...but talking of these things & Hitler or things that make one sick, sick, sick(like 666 from Current93 song)...these are things one needs to sing/write about to express not only songs of joy but ones that are heavy and real in reguards to the sadness & sickness of this world ...(WHAT I AM SAYING is discussing such issues does NOT MEAN 1is Promoting or agreeing w/ these tragedies. I dont believe DIJune is racist as i might assume. u_u

  • I'm not saying that they are racist but they sure are hypocritical. They refuse to play an anti-nazi show because "We don't like politics" yet in 1992 they played shows for the fascist croatian government. sounds political to me!!!

  • Aryan rune magic and symbolism is involved, read up on the SA and Ernst Rohm, that will explain alot of Douglas's work..if you have questions Ill answer them.

  • but isnt the word aryan a sankrit word meaning it is indian in origin, why did hitler even use it? this is the question no one can answer for me.

  • Look for "aryan" word in the Wikip if you wont the answer, there's a good explanation.

  • yeah, i read it but they dont explain the relation between hitler's ideology and indian tradition

  • It's hard to explain, and my english is very very bad... I try...

By first, the word aryan to describe a race is a mistake, the origin of the word was to discribe the root of indoeuropean languages.

The first man who talked about aryans like a pure race was probablly Arthur de Gobineau, who made his own theorys for his own interests. The Nazis took this theorys and adapted to their political needs for their own benefit in the same way that they took runes, Nietszche philosophy, antisemitism...

  • so its like false beliefs, right?

  • ...as ONE might assume (i had meant to finish up my previous reply with "one" not "i")...i do NOT think Death in June are racist as one might assume. agh...oh well, hope you understand what i was saying there.

Bottom line is :THIS SONG & band, are are truly AMAZING! ^_^

  • i know its very strange, DIJ seem to have a good excuse for everything

  • @hobartia Boyd Rice seemed to think so. Then again, he's a muppet.

  • ahhh, love this track :)

  • ottimo

  • Finally ,thy so my dear:))
