南京大虐殺記念館は日本の田辺誠が総評の資金で作らせた、反日宣伝工作の拠点、という説もあり、30万人は荒唐無稽な数字なので、４、５万にしとけと言う説あり、まったく虐殺なんてなかったと言う説あり、飾られている写真はすべて合成だと言う説あり、…。現在でも南京事件はなぞのまま。言えることは、「南京で戦争があった。状況説明には諸説ある」くらいでしょう。
