Whether or not that is a result of the way society is doesn't matter. It is what it is. It will never change. Drugs create stigma, people are ignorant, so you get fucked if you do drugs. Period. I paid, and am still paying way more than I owe, with blood and tears. It's nothing to glorify is basically what I'm saying.

have you ever been hooked? have you ever been on methadone? i was hooked on heroin for 8 years and since iv been on the methadone program iv been clean for a year now. methadone helps alot...no more needles and i dont have to spend every damn second of my day trying to score....and the best thing about it is, i dont6 have to deal with the SCUM that szell the shit.

im very gratefull for methadone, it saved my life. if you havent ever been hooked, you have know idea.

methadone and the "n8" pill are not instant solutions to heroin addictions. infact the "n8" pill which is in fact suboxone is less effective than methadone.

the only way to quit heroin is to get on methadone, period. i've been in and out of rehabs 13 times and with opiates (especially heroin) you will always relapse. methadone completely saved my life, mind and money

Me too, I am on Meth now but the side efx are killin me. I sweat like a horse. I am drenched and dripping after doing something like washing the dishes! It is turning me into a recluse. How can I go somewhere and spend the entire time sopping up the sweat running down my face, kneck, chest, back, Etc. I am a girl for crying outloud I am not supposed to be drenched with sweat just because I move or sweep a floor. It is not like I am a fat pig either. This sucks.

I think I may get off of Meth after nearly 2 years clean. I made it this far maybe I will be a-ok without it (the Meth). I take a pill for the chronic,non stop sweating named "Akineton" it is being used "off the label" it used to work wonders, not so much anymore. Should I quit Meth? Has anyone heard of this?

Whats a clinic cleansing? I know of guys at my clinic who sweat out of control like me too. We all were talking about it and are ready to come off of MMT, it is THAT bad 4 me anyways. ALL i heard about ut is exensive type of treatment offered by some swank rehap holes that fasttrak the detox process while your semi-consious. Not exact what they do but think its invloves weree they drain you and feed you through tubes untill the opiatees are gone,then you come of the sediatives slow and your done

O hyeah, they do that here too. It is pretty pricey and has a high failure rate. If it is what I believe it is, you're put to sleep and the opiates are rapidly sucked out of you and you are fed a few diff drugs to fast track the withdrawl so when u wake up you are past the "worst" of it and then you're guven pills to take at home for a few to finish the process. Nice and easy breezy one would think right?

Sorry bout the misspelled words. Anywho, I had a pal pay 12,000$ in Philly to do it and he woke up in AGONY! He was in a state of withdrawl that he could not even stand up, he was a s weak as a newborn kitten!You see they give you a form of Narcon called Naltrexone/Revia and it is a opiate blocker that you're supposed to take AFTER ALL of the opiates are out of your system to help keep you on the str8 and narrow.

These posts are so scrambled up I hope you can decipher which one is first, 2nd, 3rd..The Naltrexone rapid detox while asleep seems like a good ideal but it is not at all. SO many ppl I know had it done to get off Heroin, Oxycontins, Methadone (Maintenence/Street use abuse), Etc. and flew out of the clinic and shot up a few bags to make them feel better and guess what? The Naltrexone blocked the opiate from making them feel str8 again!
