Oh, and you need to deinterlace when using a VOB source that has the lines, otherwise that effect happens with the drum sticks (not all that noticable, but I notice it on one of my older videos and feel terrible for it)

You know, if this was a 4:3 video, you can use 1280x960 to achieve HD whilst maintaining the 4:3 ratio. Good post though, it was on my list of videos to upload.
