@jasondotsmith its only a d16 buddy, not exactly rare are they, how is it a waste?is it just because you dont appreciate the buggy? i think its rad! beats installing an unreliable cammed up vw drivetrain
dam thats intense i wanna do that now haha how much would just the buggy chassi cost? $1100?....and i laughed so hard when you revved it at the end and it sounded just like a civic LOL!
@TheRallycrossKing The chassis actually was fairly cheap...in all we managed to build the bare frame for around $600. However, the fully painted frame with all tabs and everything was about $2300 and 600 man hours or so. And the whiskey bottle was the temporary coolant reservoir.
I heard the Honda Rev at the end and just lost it. My buddy and I are putting an LS/Vtec (built very well) in a 1964 Manx (VW Buggy)......Cant wait for the video.......Ill post here.
We made this thing for mainly street (see the other videos where we do a road test) and it performs GREAT. It will blaze down the road and in terms of handling, it is so quick around curves it is scary. If you build a similar vehicle and make it JUST for road, you will be very satisfied. Our next plan is to put in a b18b and boost it. Check out the road videos.
Me and a freind built a turbo d17 civic and his wife rolled the car. Were planning on reving the motor to a rail buggy. We want to make a street fighter type buggy that handles extremly well. 12 in. tire in the rear 10 in the front. I have been wondering how well this type of design handles at the limits. Does it push in the turn. how fast are you going before the front end stays planted on ecceleration. Any input would be appreciated
What kind of exhaust does it have? It sound amazing

Gorillahumpr. Make it front wheel drive!
If you put flat fenders on it and leave wheel space, you can put 13 or 14 mud/snows on it and still run dunes.
