  • Awesome - glad your getting your kids into eating well!

  • actually, have her put the avocado down on the counter when deseeding, that way her hand in not in the way at all. agreed was hard to watch her do that. Y

  • Is it equally nutritious to just eat the vegetables raw rather than juice them? I'm more attracted to the crunchy factor. Any problems with this other than it's a lot to eat rather than drink?

  • @julieswahn It's just because many of us have deficient digestive system that juicing makes it a LOT easier to digest the nutrients. Most of us do not chew enough to really break down all the nutrients in a way they can be used in the body. So then far too many of us end up with pieces of food undigested in your guts and that then putrefies and becomes food for all kinds of ugly nasty parasites, bacterias, etc. and those then creates all kinds of situations in our body, etc.

  • Great kids, Dan!! sooo cute!!

  • love it!

  • Dan, Nice video. Thank you. Cheers to the Little Lady Re-generators!! :o)

  • My kids used to ONLY eat vegetables when they were first eating "real" food. They didn't like meat, had no interest in it, for the first few years of their lives. Then they decided to try it and liked it. But I considered myself lucky that they had such a love for fruits & veggies in the early years!

    Dena

  • @LiLtinee do you know if their friends/media influenced them into eating meat? or did they decide by themselves totally checking their own taste?

  • @Helenelalala I think it was probably a combination of media & mom (me). I never "pushed" food of any type, but I always made a wide variety available. My dad was a chef and we were offered all types of food growing up, and I'm a firm believer in trying something before you decide you do/don't like it, so I offered meat as an option until they'd try it and make their own decision to "like" it or not.

    Dena

  • You are such a wonderful Dad. It's inspiring to you with them...my very first vid of you was the last time you were on you way to see them, you were processing some stuff near the beach. It took me 3 days to watch an 8 minute video, but my spirit kept telling me, "watch him, watch him" and I did. The very next vid was the soup you made with your youngest. Your sweetness as a Dad and your authenticity hooked me. I appreciate you so much. Love and blessings to you!

  • Two smart, loving daughters and one very sweet Dad ...make 3 clever chefs! Enjoy.

  • Love this! I'm not a kid but that is just my kind of meal. Great to see you with the girls, Dan. Enjoy!

  • Love it Dan! Always nice to see your beautiful girls. My kids love being in the kitchen and making vegan/raw vegan food. So true you should start young. Cannot wait for K's cherry pie. Yum! :) Enjoy your time with them. Hugs!

  • @TheFamousPencil, lol I used to think so, but I was polluted by a teacher in first grade that wouldn't let the person passing out cookies touch them. She said it would spread germs. Although she was correct to some extent, giving a first grade a germ phobia is not cool. I wouldn't eat my mom's cooking if I saw her touch anything. It took years to overcome it. Lighten up. What's a few germs among family? We live in a world that is too sterile.

  • Loved it ! cute, natural, no fuss and easy .. what more can we ask. Dan, you are a cool dad and bravo for education your girls for raw living food. Again, for all the ones that did make not nice comments, well, now they will probably understand that being with the girls is very important and they need you. You will be riding your bic later on and you will cary those nice memories when it's slow because you'll have a head wind .. thank you for sharing and much love to all of your family (hugs)

  • Pure love!

  • Mad support for you doing your thing bro!

  • Your girls r adorable!

  • Is it ok to eat raw potatoes on your diet Dan, especially gold or red potatoes?

  • @CBasie2856, I've been watching Dan for two years and I don't remember him ever eating a raw potato. I juiced a potato and it separated with this really weird substance at the bottom. I mean a thick paste. After that I haven't been a raw potato fan at all.

  • @thewaterfalloflove That was pure starch! You are right to not have done it again!!

  • @CBasie2856 i think theyre toxic when raw

  • @informationwarfare

thats only when they are green

  • If you can eat potatoes on Dan's diet, please anyone tell me

  • @CBasie2856

Potatoes are a no no. Pure starch. They need to be cooked to be palatable. That tells you that they are not meant as true food for humans. Sure, they provide calories, but no life force if cooked. Stay with fruit, leafy greens, and a few nuts.

  • @jgfergus I disagree, because it depends on the level you are on. If plain potatoes are an improvement to what the body is usually getting, that would be a step in the right direction. Its a journey...

  • @baum7des7lebens7

Sure...cooked potatoes are better than pizza and a coke and you are correct...that is a step in the right direction. But if you're goal is vibrant health and the absence of disease, it won't happen with cooked starches. The question was if you could eat potatoes on Dan's diet. I am quite sure Dan does not eat potatoes...cooked or raw.

  • @jgfergus Dan recommended this for beginners: watch?v=XpuBEgRrnzA I assumed that the person asking is not a full raw foodist if asking the potatoe question...I know Dan doesn't eat potatoes, but I know he talks about transition for beginners.

  • @CBasie2856 I wouldnt think Raw potatoes would be good for you.

  • @SherLynn40 why not? I heard it has good amount of vit. C, it sprouts easily. I use it in my juices daily. No problem.

  • @Helenelalala I guess if you dont have any problems with it....then you should continue doing what you're doing. : )

  • @CBasie2856 i take them in my juices, they have loads of vits. and if they sprout i consider they're cool. They can be a tart just taken as themselves raw but mixed with other juiced veges they're fine.

  • your daughter's are stars! they should follow you on your bike ride to provide on the fly commentary on your progress and diet and blend the guac....

  • @thewaterfalloflove As Simone de Beauvoir famously said, "One is not born a woman". Biology does not determine human gender identity OR sexuality as much as culture. Women were at one time considered *biologically* and *psychologically* inferior to men and unfit to participate in the public sphere. This was "proven" by esoteric and pseudo-sciences, & by Freud. It is bullshit.

  • Comment removed

  • @thewaterfalloflove "this Simone character"....are you serious???????? Try reading a book once in a while. She is one of the most famous philosophers of the modern age. She is also laid the early foundations of feminism. Have you seriously never heard of her???? Have you heard of Jean Paul-Satre?? Did you go to school??????????

  • @thewaterfalloflove I comment for the sake of other readers , in their roles as men, can be nurturers and women can be providers without being men. This shows that human gender ROLES are arbitrary designations, that they are not NATURAL LAWS. Human gender roles, like human sexuality, are NOT circumscribed by biology. And even in non-human nature, we find species in which males take responsibility for the young, either with ot independent of the female.

  • @gabsylv very true, i had a male german shepard that took care of his pups, they were half rottweiler.

  • @gabsylv well said.

  • @gabsylv, I really don't want to continue debating this but I do agree with you that there can be role reversals or shared roles and sometimes a man is a better nurturer than some women - lot of nutty people out there with no emotional stability that should have never been parents to begin with, but lets not get into that. Your point does not change that fact that men and woman are vastly different and it is encoded in our DNA. Men are men and women are women. That cannot be debated :)

  • @thewaterfalloflove OK, I accept your move toward compromise. But the vast difference you aver is more cultural than you think. I suggest Laqueur's "Making Sex." I will also compromise by saying my view is also conditioned by my time and (postmodern) culture. But I'll leave you with a challenge. namely, that you cannot name one specific part or aspect of a woman that is absolutely necessary for a human being to be defined as "woman" Thanks for yr input.

  • @gabsylv, LOL... oh man. So now it's a matter of semantics? I just need to learn to keep my mouth shut because people don't want the truth. People want to hear what makes them feel like their actions in this world are justified. Our society in the U.S. is a complete failure. The divorce rate is about 50% and many of those are divorced with children. Neither parent loved their children enough to sacrifice their own ego (some exceptions).

  • @thewaterfalloflove Your totally right. Don't keep ur mouth shut but add some love in your comm and your message will be more easily heard and agreed with.

  • @Helenelalala, I am better at tough love. A message isn't going to be received until a person is ready to hear it. When the student is ready, the master will appear. I've had great success with turning people's lives around so I know what I do works, but text is not a great way to communicate. We all have our place in this world. My delivery may not work for one person but it is exactly what was needed for another. I don't need people to agree with me but I also don't enjoy arguing.

  • @thewaterfalloflove no chauvinism is NOT part of the family, family is about nurturing your children and providing for them, both genders do that - just because you want to control something doesn't mean you have to be a chauvinist, get a damn dog

  • Great to see a father being involved in his kid's lives.

  • Does your ex eat raw foods? Just curious...None of my business though. Maybe she will be with you and your kids on the videos one day...LOL

  • Sa awesome!

  • Are your kids raised vegan? I think that's awesome if they are.

  • awsome

  • Aww sweet! You girls are so lucky to have a GREAT. DADDY ! Nice video ;))

  • WOW amazing to see you back the basics... it makes me feel good. I'm sure everyone else agrees
