  • Great Catch!

  • I love when amtrak is led by freight engines, it gives the heavy duty and utilitarian look to the train, plus the FRA can back off.

  • Can Amtrak Engineers operate freight power?

I thought you had to be licensed per locomotive i/e: licensed to operate a p42, NPCU, F59PHI..

  • Yes, the amtrak crew has a BNSF conductor on it, and the usual engineer is rinning the train. BNSF loves givving aMTRAK old power like GP40's SD40's and SD60's. lol

  • WOW!

  • Now if only EMD had kept that nose design on their newer models. And I bet that made the engineer's day. "Let's see just how fast this thing can go!"

  • Awesome, Those SD60M's Are My Second Favorite BNSF Locomotive, Right Behind The SD70ACE With The BNSF Swoosh

  • great catch 5/5!

  • Was that a K5H on a BN??

  • man that sd60m 8185 was hauling ass

  • yeah they stopped at the next station and AAA came out and fixed the windsheild LOL who gets the bill? amtrak or BNSF

  • interesting horn.
