@lanswipe if you remember, he didn't think the dog would hurt her. He freaked out when she killed it, kept calling him harmless. He's crazy, remember? He probably didn't think the dog would do her any damage, just herd her where he wanted her. And he only filled the elevator so she'd start it again so he could get to her. All she had to do to get away from the water was get out of the elevator.
