Okay to answer everyone question about "how did Chrono died and why isn't he buried with Rosette" first remember back on the other episode's a devil can't live without his horns the only other is to make a contract with a living being so it can share or take it life energy, in Chrono case he only share Rosette's life energy but cos Rosette body was badly damage by Aion, Rosette didn't live to be 30 and Chrono didn't want to live without her so he didn't take her life energy and died together.

the great depresion, then the second world war which was worst then the first, then came the cold war which span the fear of nukelear war, next at towards the end 1999 the Y2K bug scare, then in 2001 the twin towers fell causing a war that just ended(though it was more of a reform and get the hell out) and now where at the point of 2012 & this may be our last year on earth. and of course i made the mistake of finishing the needless anime before this one...
i would have to say in this anime im like rosette never giving up she is one of my fave characters and seeing her die left me heartbroken and seeing chrno die with her says to me that love is crazy but in the end it pays of i love u chrno esmaria and espically you ROSETTE *cryed and still*

I loved this anime even though the ending was sad. It was interesting, and kind of chilling, how Ewan Remington chronicled true life events including the assassination attempt on Pope John Paul II in 1981. It shows how the battle between good and evil will never really end as long as man walks the earth. Dub haters can flame me if they want, but I thought they did a great job picking the voice talent to do the English dialogue. Thanks for posting this.

I had seen the ending countless times before i acctually watched the anime all the way through, but it really hit me now that i have seen the whole thing.

@iwuvsushi that's probably why there isn't a second season or follow-up series... because Rosette and Chrono can't be replaced. Plus, as you can tell with the ending, the end focuses on religious turmoil like the assassination of the pope. Although, I think with all of the things going on today religiously and wars/conflicts, it could easily have a second follow-up series. But, we may never get it... :(

Through this entire anime I was like "I'm not gonna cry!" and I didin't....that is untill they found Chrono and Rosetta's bodies, when the three girls started crying, that was it. I dont think they should do a second Chrono Crusade it will destroy it. Cant we just leave it to the wonderful manga/anime it is and if u seen the anime. READ the manga they have a diffrent plot... the endng and the midsection is completly diffrent!!!!
I really enjoyed this anime!! I read forums to see what people thought about the ending and some people brought up some really in interesting hypothesis about the meaning of Aion quotes and other stuff... It makes me like the anime even more.!!!!!! It ended perfectly and without Rosette or ***CHRONO**** there's no chrono crusade so I don't think another series of chrono crusade would be good
I'm surprised Azmaria didn't suicide, to be honest. You'd think at this point she'd have another one of those 'everyone around me suffers' fits and frankly, in her position I definitely wouldn't have been in a normal state of mind.
I hate this type of ending. We spend so much hours watching the anime and actually getting close to the characters and their story THEN this happen? It sucks because it's sad and they die. @animeroxable Chrono died because he suffered from his wounds that didn't heal and his life line and powers were connected to da watch, plus he didn't plan on using da rest of Rosettes life force to keep him alive because he was tired of losing people that he love. So he decided that when Rosette dies he will die with her rather than living on in grief.
@robynsegg If Rosette could fall in love with a devil, than Azmaria could get married. Also I belive that it would be better if the next series was about WW2 and how Hitler and others almost controlled the world and somehow the Magdalen order has to save the day. Ion controls Hitler cause he wants to get rid of the Russians and the Jews and ect.
@ActionRaccoon: That would have to be a side story & it could work since WW2 was the 2nd prophecy (in the story & in real life). However, Rosette falling in love w/ Chrono is 1 thing... having sex is another. Priest & nuns (wether the want to admit it or not) fall in (& out) of love all the time. They may be "married to Christ" but it is hard to deny 1's feelings. Consummating that love is different & we never actually saw Chrono & Rosette have sex. (2 be continued).
@robynsegg@ActionRaccoon: Azmaria CAN'T fulfill the Sacraments of Holy Orders & Marriage simultaneously. It's either 1 or the other. (Vatican's rule... not mine!) lol! If she did fall in love w/ someone (even another kindhearted devil similar to Chrono) & had a child, she would still have to leave The Order. There's only 1 way that a person can do both: 1.) Become a Priest/Nun & then leave a few years later to marry; or, 2.) Marry, raise a family & then go into The Holy Orders later in life.
@robynsegg there 1 thing your forgetting the Magdalene Order has it own rules and laws it has little to do with the rules of the other religious like Matt greenfield the director of Chrono Crusade said in the voiceactor interview episode I uploaded their not nuns they have outfit that are just similar to a nun the order is more like a group of exorcists in episode 2 the Elder pointed it out to sister Kate that Rosette and Chrono are more then just "friends" so they did let love into the order
@KittyloverAmethyst: They may have their own rules & laws BUT the are still a part of The Vatican. Do you see any other nun lining up to be w/ their lovers? No. Chrono & Rosette are different in only that they are devil & contractor & yes they do care for each other. But what if Chrono was NOT there? Yes, Rosette has a small crush on Fr. Remington, but when going into The Order your main focus is on Christ. He is the only man in your life. That's why they are the called "The Brides of Christ".

However as far as the other girls w/ Rosette, the reason why their habits are different is that they are still nuns in training along w/ being exorcist. Sisters Anna, Claire, & Mary could very well be in the novice stage while, Azmaria @ the end could be in her postulant stage. They have a while to go before the get their full habit like Sr. Kate.

TOOM may have a different rules probably because of the fact that they are a Militia... (nuns w/ guns! Whoo-hoo!) But would Matt Greenfield say they are so different from The Vatican that TOOM allows romantic/sexual relationships among their members? Probably not.

People say that the ending was the saddest ending Animie could deliver, but I disagree, It was the most butiful ending ever. I thought that I could go through the ending without even a tear in my eye, but it was impossible. The true meaning of the story is to never waste your life, and never judge those that can help you. Rosette and Chrono made the biggest sacrifice, and some might say, they were saved from the hell of 30s and 40s. Thank u so much for this gift, KLA and to the people of C.C.
I love the mixture of history w/ fantasy in this story. I remember that day in the last 4 minutes of the series. Pandemonium did indeed rear her ugly head on that day. I was in Our Lady of Victory elementary school at that time. From the moment we heard, until the moment Pope John Paul II recovered, all we did was pray... in church... in class... everywhere. That man, @ 9:05 who bumped into Remington while walking w/ Aion is Mehmet Ali Agca. He shot PJ2. The Pope... forgave him.
@robynsegg: Thus fulfilling the 3rd & final prophecy. I urge all who watch this series to watch it again & pay closer attention to the real life events instead of just focusing on the fictional Rosette & Chrono. Afterward, go to Wiki & look up "Fatima" & PJP2. The fantasy was wonderful but blending it w/ real life events, especially events that have a major significance on the Catholic world is nothing short of a small masterpiece!

@omglifeisgood I strongly disagree with that. There is nothing more I hate in a series than when a character dies, then magically comes to life because of fan demands. If they brought them back, Than it would defeat the purpose of this being the most butiful ending of all of Anime. Because when you and your friends are crying over their deaths, someone's gonna say: Don't worry about cuse they come back to life! If your gonna kill of a character, kill them off respectively, wich is what C.C. did.

@iwuvsushi that's probably why there isn't a second season or follow-up series... because Rosette and Chrono can't be replaced. Plus, as you can tell with the ending, the end focuses on religious turmoil like the assassination of the pope. Although, I think with all of the things going on today religiously and wars/conflicts, it could easily have a second follow-up series. But, we may never get it... :(

OMG!!!! i cried so much during the death and i NEVER cry! WHY!?!?! why must the best animes have sad endings? (Oh and how did Chrono die? I mean the last episode when he spit up blood and fell, why? What happened? I am so confused) -This anime has taught me something, I learned that we must accept our destinys and even if God throws tornados at you, just remember your friend and family. Through this entire anime I was like "I'm not gonna cry!" and I didin't....that is untill they found Chrono and Rosetta's bodies, when the three girls started crying, that was it. I was hysterical crying, don't even get me started on when Azmaria was seeing fragments of them in that house. I'm gonna cry again T-T

i read/watch both the manga and the anime and i cry EVRY time i watch/read any of them i wwatch this ending like 20 times now and its still as sad as the first time!
I dont think they should do a second Chrono Crusade it will destroy it. Cant we just leave it to the wonderful manga/anime it is and if u seen the anime. READ the manga they have a diffrent plot... the endng and the midsection is completly diffrent!!!!

I really enjoyed this anime!! I read forums to see what people thought about the ending and some people brought up some really in interesting hypothesis about the meaning of Aion quotes and other stuff... It makes me like the anime even more.!!!!!! It ended perfectly and without Rosette or ***CHRONO**** there's no chrono crusade so I don't think another series of chrono crusade would be good

I hate this type of ending. We spend so much hours watching the anime and actually getting close to the characters and their story THEN this happen? It sucks because it's sad and they die. It's as if we lost a friend watching this. PLUS THE DAMN BACKGROUND MUSIC IS SO DAMN SAD MAKES IT 10000X WORSE! BEST ANIME EVER!

@animeroxable Chrono died because he suffered from his wounds that didn't heal and his life line and powers were connected to da watch, plus he didn't plan on using da rest of Rosettes life force to keep him alive because he was tired of losing people that he love. So he decided that when Rosette dies he will die with her rather than living on in grief.

Also I belive that it would be better if the next series was about WW2 and how Hitler and others almost controlled the world and somehow the Magdalen order has to save the day. Ion controls Hitler cause he wants to get rid of the Russians and the Jews and ect.

@ActionRaccoon: That would have to be a side story & it could work since WW2 was the 2nd prophecy (in the story & in real life). However, Rosette falling in love w/ Chrono is 1 thing... having sex is another. Priest & nuns (wether the want to admit it or not) fall in (& out) of love all the time. They may be "married to Christ" but it is hard to deny 1's feelings. Consummating that love is different & we never actually saw Chrono & Rosette have sex. (2 be continued).

@robynsegg @ActionRaccoon: Azmaria CAN'T fulfill the Sacraments of Holy Orders & Marriage simultaneously. It's either 1 or the other. (Vatican's rule... not mine!) lol! If she did fall in love w/ someone (even another kindhearted devil similar to Chrono) & had a child, she would still have to leave The Order. There's only 1 way that a person can do both: 1.) Become a Priest/Nun & then leave a few years later to marry; or, 2.) Marry, raise a family & then go into The Holy Orders later in life.

@robynsegg there 1 thing your forgetting the Magdalene Order has it own rules and laws it has little to do with the rules of the other religious like Matt greenfield the director of Chrono Crusade said in the voiceactor interview episode I uploaded their not nuns they have outfit that are just similar to a nun the order is more like a group of exorcists in episode 2 the Elder pointed it out to sister Kate that Rosette and Chrono are more then just "friends" so they did let love into the order

No. Chrono & Rosette are different in only that they are devil & contractor & yes they do care for each other. But what if Chrono was NOT there? Yes, Rosette has a small crush on Fr. Remington, but when going into The Order your main focus is on Christ. He is the only man in your life. That's why they are the called "The Brides of Christ".

However as far as the other girls w/ Rosette, the reason why their habits are different is that they are still nuns in training along w/ being exorcist. Sisters Anna, Claire, & Mary could very well be in the novice stage while, Azmaria @ the end could be in her postulant stage. They have a while to go before the get their full habit like Sr. Kate.

TOOM may have a different rules probably because of the fact that they are a Militia... (nuns w/ guns! Whoo-hoo!) But would Matt Greenfield say they are so different from The Vatican that TOOM allows romantic/sexual relationships among their members? Probably not.

Any couple can have sex and say that they are in love, but if they get married it's something more. People say that the ending was the saddest ending Animie could deliver, but I disagree, It was the most butiful ending ever. I thought that I could go through the ending without even a tear in my eye, but it was impossible. The true meaning of the story is to never waste your life, and never judge those that can help you. Rosette and Chrono made the biggest sacrifice, and some might say, they were saved from the hell of 30s and 40s. Thank u so much for this gift, KLA and to the people of C.C.

I love the mixture of history w/ fantasy in this story. I remember that day in the last 4 minutes of the series. Pandemonium did indeed rear her ugly head on that day. I was in Our Lady of Victory elementary school at that time. From the moment we heard, until the moment Pope John Paul II recovered, all we did was pray... in church... in class... everywhere. That man, @ 9:05 who bumped into Remington while walking w/ Aion is Mehmet Ali Agca. He shot PJ2. The Pope... forgave him.

I urge all who watch this series to watch it again & pay closer attention to the real life events instead of just focusing on the fictional Rosette & Chrono. Afterward, go to Wiki & look up "Fatima" & PJP2. The fantasy was wonderful but blending it w/ real life events, especially events that have a major significance on the Catholic world is nothing short of a small masterpiece!

@omglifeisgood I strongly disagree with that. There is nothing more I hate in a series than when a character dies, then magically comes to life because of fan demands. If they brought them back, Than it would defeat the purpose of this being the most butiful ending of all of Anime. Because when you and your friends are crying over their deaths, someone's gonna say: Don't worry about cuse they come back to life! If your gonna kill of a character, kill them off respectively, wich is what C.C. did.
