Stern does not give credit to Steve Allen. He's talked about this and dislikes Allen immensely. "Man on the Street" is a different thing. "What do you do...?" "What do you think of...?" "Tell me about..." and Allen would try to make it funny. That is what Letterman ripped off. Stern does a basic knowledge quiz "How many states are there?" "Who was the first president?" and we laugh at their stupid answers. That is what Leno ripped off.
