Wow... JOM is a moron. I mean, I don't think Death Note is the virtuosic piece of art that its fanbase does (and, granted, said fanbase could certainly pick a worse show to be crazy about), but it was a pretty addicting, excellently-plotted show.
hmm the fact that i watched a review of a review was sad like any1 cares about my opinion but i kinda agree with NC it was good in the second act however, i can see how the guy was angry about the second act it was weak until the end but even then with the end it was amazing and wouldnt have worked without the "weak" parts however the end in my opinion even though it was crazy awesome it was a bit of a cough out in the end because of the back and forth that just was "oh wait but" with goods win
this isn't my favorite show at all.... however Light is most certainly a genius and I think that's why the show is so respectable.... It's very smart and well thought out

Although some of the ploys are really cool, many relied basically on luck (point in case: the mindwipe). Plus they really tried to oversell everything to make it look more badass which got annoying fast. Really? You thought Monster was fantastic? I thought it had some interesting characters but... Perfect Blue was weak
Ughh I actually hated My neighbor totoro. I 'm a huge ghibli fan and I'd have to say Laputa or Howls moving castle are my favorites (Tales of earthsea was also good but it was also done by his son, I'm pretty sure?). Totoro was too much of a childs movie for me. :(

My one minor complaint about your video: I would suggest to download JOM's video in the future via Keepvid, then edit parts of the video with parts when you offer your commentary. It's a tad bit clumsy, but compared to other commentators who point their camcorders to the specific video they're commentating on (FlippyInvader782 comes to mind), this is very minor, but I felt obligated to say it. Other than that, enjoyed the video! Nice job, and you're very insightful! :)
@TheLavaBuster I don't like the whole cutting parts out of a person's video, the commentator could cut and paste things out of context (not saying that chris would do this but the way he did it here I thought was fine).

The only problem I have with Death Note is that it make it ok that the person that we follow have no and I mean no lovable thing about him. Take a look that Code Geass main person here is the same person, but in the show we see that he care about people. We know for a fact that Kria only care about himself. And I question how did Kria become like as he was is. And can some one answer how Kria is a good charater. Please answer me.

It's nice manga overall, and I disagree with this guy. C'mon, Kira is a awesome character and pretty realistic. I would do exactly what he did. Actually I would do more, because I would kill A LOT of politicians and journalists.

Principally because the manga has this aspect of giving huges background history for secondary and terciary characters.
Almost every character in Death Note Manga has his history and family introduced.
And yes to make a anime like the manga you will need at least more 30 episodes.
However storytelling, Death note is the supreme example os storytelling.
